GLOSSYBOX x Fighting Pretty Limited Edition Box Review

GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door. This review is on their Fighting Pretty Limited Edition box.  It was a one-time purchase of $40 and is completely separate from their monthly subscription.

From GLOSSYBOX
GLOSSYBOX and Fighting Pretty have endeavored on an exciting collaboration to create a limited edition box! The equilibrium reached between the two is rooted in our mission: to help women feel good about themselves. Together, we were inspired to educate new and existing GLOSSYBOX subscribers about how they can help a loved one that may be battling cancer with a small, but mighty gesture.

Retailing at $40, the Fighting Pretty GLOSSYBOX is valued at over $250 and available for purchase exclusively on www.glossybox.com beginning August 11th, 2016. All net proceeds will go to Fighting Pretty.

The GLOSSYBOX x Fighting Pretty Box shipped via USPS.  I ordered it the day it launched (the 11th) and received it a few days ago.

The GLOSSYBOX x Fighting Pretty Box came packaged in a gorgeous printed box.  It is white and pink and says “You are Strong & Beautiful” on it.

Fighting Pretty was founded by Kara Dolce after her own battle with breast cancer at age 26 as a way to help all women battling cancer feel strong and beautiful.

The GLOSSYBOX x Fighting Pretty Box included the following non-toxic cosmetics that will make you feel fabulous:

~Borghese Eclissare Colorstruck Lipstick (Dare) ($25): I would describe “Dare” as a shimmery raspberry pink.  It’s creamy and vibrant and if the information card is right, this “power lip” will be the answer to a bad day.

~Doucce Brow Filler Pencil ($22): I am still not on the brow filling train (I do it, but it’s rare), but I have a few friends who will love this. You can shape your brows with the brush first and then fill in as much or as little as you’d like.

~Deco Miami Nail Polish ($12.50): Colors will vary, but I received the “Champagne Miami” color.  It’s 8-free, THP-free, vegan and cruelty-free. This will be a very nice shade for fall.

~EMK Beverly Hills Supra Face Cream ($142): Yes, it’s $142 face cream. I looked at the information card (and the website) a dozen times.  This cream uses a proprietary plant-based protein and is designed to help restore healthy skin structure and dimish visible signs of aging.  It smells a bit like green tea, but I have been happy with it so far.  I will never buy it again (too $$$), but I am thrilled to use all of this jar.

~Biossance The Revitalizer, Universal Moisturizing Concentrate ($58): This is billed as an all-over moisturizer.  You can use it on your face, elbows, cuticles, or even your heels.  Anywhere you need a little hydration.  You don’t need a ton (just a drop or two), and it does work.  It feels a bit like oil, but blends in easily.

~Fango Essenzialo Purify Mud Mask for Face + Body (1oz) ($4.64): This Purify Mud works to remove dirt and reduce pores.  You can use it on your face or body, and it only needs to be left on for 5 minutes.  My skin has been under control lately, but I will start using it when things aren’t so calm.

~Fighting Pretty Boxing Gloves: When Kara Dolce was battling cancer she was given a pair of pink mini boxing gloves as a reminder to never give up.  Now each Fighting Pretty box contains a pair of boxing gloves.  These gloves can be passed on to anyone you know who needs to be reminded they are “Fighting Pretty.” Also, you can order a package for someone you love on their website.

All totaled the GLOSSYBOX x Fighting Pretty Box had a value of $264.14.  That’s an amazing value for $40, and I loved the selection of items in here. I lost a friend to breast cancer earlier this summer and only wish I could send her this box.

If you are interested in ordering you can do so on the GLOSSYBOX website or if you want to learn more about Fighting Pretty, you can find them here.
