I received the Deluxe Hot Sauce Making Kit which includes everything necessary to make 6 customized hot sauces.
As soon as I saw this one I knew it was one for my husband (aka B) to take charge of. Anything with hot peppers probably isn’t something that I should be allowed to do. Gloves or not, I would totally end up sticking my finger in my eye after cutting the peppers.
The Grow and Make Artisan Deluxe Hot Sauce Making Kit includes:
• Spice pack w/ Cayenne, Ancho, Curry, and Chili New Mexico powders
• Brown sugar
• Guajillo, Chipotle, and Arbol peppers
• Apple cider and white vinegar
• 6 bottles with lid and dashers
• 6 customizable labels
• Funnel
• Gloves
• Cleanser
• Instructions
We did need to run out and get onions, tomatoes, pineapples and garlic, but we did want to make a ton of the different varieties.
Making The Hot Sauce
B did 99% of the Hot Sauce making and didn’t have any issue at all with the instructions. I looked at them and personally found them a tad vague. They don’t give you measurements – only what ingredients should be used. For example, the Garlic Hot Sauce Recipe states “Dried arbol peppers, ancho powder, 5-10 garlic cloves, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, add salt to taste.” B was fine though and made 5 different types of Hot Sauce plus one “Surprise” bottle using the leftovers. The Hot Sauces he made weren’t too hot, but my favorite was the Caribbean. Tasty!
