Powered Geek Box (formerly known as PowerUp Box) is a monthly subscription service that includes geeky, gamer, and pop culture gear. The Powered Geek Box team goes around the country searching for the best gear there is to assure an epic box every month, every time. The Premium Box ($39.90/month) includes 6-9 items while the Deluxe Box ($26.90/month) includes 4-6 items and both boxes will include a t-shirt every month. I receive The Premium Box to review.
Powered Geek Box boxes are shipped via USPS between the 22nd and 28th of each month. I was so excited when I saw this in the mail because they got new boxes!!!
The August 2016 Powered Geek Box (it doesn’t include an information card) featured the following items:
~Godzilla “King of the Monsters” T-Shirt : This shirt is soft and kind of retro. I love it. And I know B (my husband) will wear it.
~Suicide Squad Blind Bag ($4.98): I’d admit, I have yet to see Suicide Squad. I do love blind bags, though. I received “Enchantress”, who played by Cara Delevingne in the film.
~World of Warcraft Murloc Keychain ($4.17): This will be amazing backpack “swag”. My boys aren’t familiar with World of Warcraft, but I know they will like this guy.
~POP! Suicide Squad #96 “The Joker” ($9.99): My cousin (he’s 14) is going to love this! I think it’s a little too mature for my eight-year-old (although I suspect he’d think it was cool), but my POP! collecting cousin will be thrilled.
~Batman Villains Playing Cards ($6.99): Remember when you used to have to use actual cards to play solitaire? LOL! These are fantastic and have the best graphics on them.
~The Joker Air Freshener, I Love Harley Quinn Sticker and Marvel Pin: The box also included a few smaller items, including a Joker air freshener, which I am sure will end up in one of my boys’ rooms!
I couldn’t do a full breakdown on the August 2016 Powered Geek Box, but (as usual), I thought it had great variety. It always has a little something for everyone.

Horrible subscription! You pay more than the items are even worth! I subscribed for a surprise for my fiance and thought I selected the best box then realized after checkout that I got the lesser of the two then tried to login to change it and couldn’t. I emailed customer service and nothing. I kept emailing and finally received and an email saying my account will be accessible in a few days due to changing the site. I tried to login and few days later and still nothing. I then received an email saying I was charged for the second box when I still haven’t received the first one! I emailed AGAIN! I received a rude email calling me a liar claiming that I wasn’t charged for a new box and it said that they UNSUBSCRIBED for me?! Apparently customer service doesn’t want to deal with actually helping their subscribers. I finally received the box and got a bat clothes pin, a key chain, a dog tag and a magnet. How in the world is that worth $27? Worst subscription. Not worth the money and the WORST customer service I’ve EVER recieved!
