Wantable Makeup September 2016 Subscription Box Review

Wantable offers five different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness, style and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. They also allow you to return a just portion of your box if you want!  Wantable lists “Your Price” on the information card along with the “Retail Price” so you can easily determine the amount of credit you will receive if you opt to return certain items.  If you end up keeping your entire box, a credit of $4 will be posted to your account – making your next box $36.

Wantable Makeup September 2016 Subscription Box Review

Wantable ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.  Wantable (typically) ships at the same time each month based on when you originally subscribed.  So if you subscribed at the end of the month, your box would always ship at the end of the month.

My box last month was SO good that I wasn’t sure if this one would live up to it, but the first look was pretty good!

Wantable Makeup September 2016 Subscription Box Review

Like I mentioned before (and like I do every month), you can totally customize your Wantable box. You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike. You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike. It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing. Eyeliner is my only dislike, and that seems to be working out well. Wantable has also launched the “My Stream” which includes product and customer photos of items from Wantable boxes. You can scroll through the images, and if you see something you love, you can request it in your next box.

My September 2016 Wantable Makeup Box contained the following items:

~Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss Neon Vanity (Retail Price: $19, Your Price: $8.24): This lip gloss plumps your lips while also giving you great shine.  I didn’t think it was overly sticky and I loved the shade of pink.

~Dip Lacquer Nail Lacquer Pink Palace (Retail Price: $10, Your Price: $4.34): Love this color.  It’s a soft peachy / pink and is just a great everyday polish color. I will probably put a coat of clear matte underneath and then layer on two coats of this on my nails to get full coverage.  So pretty!

~Beauty for Real Blush + Glo (Retail Price: $24, Your Price: $10.41): I loved the first two items, but this is my favorite item in the box.  It’s a 2-in-1 cream-to-powder blush and luminizer.  The colors are shimmery, but neutral at the same time and really do make you glow.    This product is also Paraben free, Cruelty-free and Made in the USA.

~Mirabella Skin Tint Cream-to-Powder Brown VC (Retail Price: $30, Your Price: $13.01):  Wow, this is so dark.  I don’t know what I was thinking when I filled out my Wantable profile. I must have been hitting the self-tanner pretty hard! You can use a brush or sponge to apply, and it gives you full coverage without being heavy.  It’s described as a light coverage mineral-based foundation, and it feels almost silky going on.

Wantable Makeup September 2016 Subscription Box Review

All totaled my September 2016 Wantable Makeup package had a value of $83.  With the exception of the color of the Mirabella (which was my fault), this was a great box with amazing products!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness or the new style edit) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?

Spread the love

I just received my first box & thought wow. That is underwhelming. Is that what $40 gets me? 2 thinks I hated. An orange eyeshadow & makeup face wipes. I also got a black eyeliner. Ok, nice enough. & a face mask, which could be really nice, I’ll see. I guess I’ll send the first 2 items back but I already cancelled future shipments. Just not feeling it.
