Bramble Box is fun because it’s an open-ended box for children.  You don’t have to “finish” the box in one sitting.  You can pick it up and play with the contents whenever the mood strikes.

The September 2016 Bramble Box theme was “Safari” and included the following items / projects:

~All About.. Animals: The information card included All About pages for Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, and Zebras.  After reading this W (my four-year-old) decided that Zebras were his new favorite animals.  I think it’s because they stand up while they are sleeping?

~DIY Safari Binoculars: I am not 100% sure where we (okay me) went wrong with these, but I had a heck of a time getting them together. You’re going to have to take my word for it because the finished product is one of the pictures that disappeared when I did my iPhone update and lost some stuff.  Our main issue was getting the yarn through the holes in the tubes.  I just didn’t line them up correctly.  W didn’t seem to care though and just wanted to stamp them all up with the included animal stamps.

~Backyard Safari: Included in the box were some safari animals and a fun safari hat.  The idea was to go on a safari and locate the animals.  We love a good treasure hunt around here, and W had a great time finding all the animals.
