Healthy Belly Box September 2016 Review

I don’t follow a Gluten-Free diet, but I like to try new snacks and this box looked great.

Healthy Belly Box September 2016 Review

The September 2016 Healthy Belly Box included the following items:

~Dang Toasted Coconut Chips (~$3): These coconut chips are vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO.  You can snack on them straight out of the bag, but I prefer them in salads.  They add a great crunchy taste.

~SimpleBites Chocolate-Chip Cookies ($5): I wouldn’t even have know these were gluten-free if you didn’t tell me.  I consider that to be a good thing ;).  In addition to being gluten-free, these are also dairy-free and kosher.

~That’s it. Bar (~$2): These bars contain 100% real fruit.  This one has Apples and Blueberries.  And that’s it!  These aren’t the most attractive bars (they look like a harder version of fig newton fillings), but they are good. And a great snack for my son to take to school.

~Pirate’s Booty ($1.03): Who doesn’t love Pirate’s Booty?  I am not even sure I knew it was gluten-free?  I do know that we all love it in this house though.  It’s not too cheesy, but it’s very tasty.  In addition to being gluten-free, this contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

~Larabar (~$5): I know some people swear by Larabars, but I haven’t been able to get into them. Their bars are kosher, gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and contain no artificial ingredients.

~Crunchy Rice Rollers ($5): These were okay, but I felt like they needed a little more flavor.  I think with a little peanut butter on top though and you’ve got an amazing snack.  In addition to being gluten-free, these are also low fat, low sodium, contain no cholesterol and are vegan.

Healthy Belly Box September 2016 Review
~Adelheidis Sesame Crunch ($4.80): This sesame crunch is gluten free, vegan and handcrafted from scratch with all organic ingredients.  This was really tasty.  It was different, but in a good way.

Healthy Belly Box September 2016 Review

All totaled I came up with a value of about $26 for the September 2016 Healthy Belly Box.  I liked the box and the contents, but felt like the price-point was on the high side.
