Mine Chest September 2016 Subscription Box Review

Mine Chest, the first official Minecraft subscription box, is a bundle of hand-picked, official, Minecraft goodies, delivered right to your doorstep each month. Exactly what’s included each month is a closely-guarded secret, but expect an exclusive t-shirt every month, exclusive items, a premium collectible chest, a unique project, and a selection of official collectibles.

Mine Chest ships on a monthly basis via USPS. They used to ship during the end of the month, but they now ship at the beginning of the month. They seem to be working out the kinks on this system still though as the September box shipped mid-month instead of at the beginning of the month.

My boys (they are 4 and 8) about lose their minds when Mine Chest comes in the mail.  I have to quick open up the box, take pictures and then put it all back together for them.  Once they get their hands on the box, it’s all over.

The September 2016 Mine Chest theme was Animal Farming and included the following items:

~Minecraft T-Shirt: This is a Minecraft spawn egg t-shirt (I had to ask my 8-year-old what they were).  He loves this shirt and I am sure will be wearing it to school tomorrow.  I am actually surprised he doesn’t have it on today.

~Minecraft Stuffed Chicken ($12.99): My 4-year-old claimed this super soft chicken, and I haven’t seen it since.  Also, like everything else in this box, the chicken is officially licensed by Minecraft.

~Minecraft Carrot Pin: This is a Mine Chest exclusive.  Last month we got a Torch Pin and this month we got a carrot one.  My 4-year-old wore this on his shirt all day yesterday, but I suspect it will end up being a backpack decoration.

~Minecraft Stamp & Ink Pad: So far we have received an ink pad / stamp in each of the Mine Chest boxes.  My boys love them, and I am pretty sure that W (my 4-year-old) will have horse stamps all over his hands soon.  He just can’t resist.  L (my 8-year-old) uses them for his Minecraft books where he writes stories / instructions on the game.

~Mine Chest Exclusive Sticker: Ohhh, these are going to head to school with L tomorrow for his writing journal.  They have been decorating their journals with stickers and pictures and will be using the journals all year at school. We didn’t have any Minecraft stickers to send in, but now we do!
