They also offer special edition boxes on a seasonal (sometimes more) basis. This review is on the Fall 2016 POPSUGAR Limited Edition Must Have Box. POPSUGAR described the box, which was sold for $100, as follows:
Transitioning into next season is easy when you have a style kit ready to keep you looking your best when you’re on the go. You’ll always be cozy with just the right amount of shimmer.
POPSUGAR Limited Edition boxes ship in large plain brown boxes with their special limited edition gift box inside.
POPSUGAR individually wraps all of the items in their Limited Edition boxes which makes them extra fun to open.
The Fall 2016 POPSUGAR Limited Edition Box included the following items:
~Buji Baja – With Love From Eurostar Lavender Rib Scarf ($70): I thought this was an exclusive POPSUGAR item, but it’s on sale on the Hat Attack / Buiji Baja website, so I guess not? Anyway, it’s described as a lavender, but I would call it a “dusty lavender.” A sort of grayish lavender. It’s soft and cozy and sadly (?) not cold enough to wear it in Michigan yet. As much as I like this, I do think it would have been a better fit in their winter limited edition box.
~Jack & Lucy Faux Fur Pom Keychain ($41): I know a lot of people aren’t overly excited about this, but I so am. I had a puff ball like this (except mine was from Target) on my purse last winter, but it was getting a little icky, so I tossed it. I will put this on my bag as soon as I switch over from the purse I am carrying now. If you don’t want to use it as a purse charm, it also works as a keychain.
~Sloane Stationery Great Thoughts Notepad (~$51): This is clearly the fanciest journal / notebook I have ever owned. It was handmade in England by traditionally trained craftsman in the craft of bookbinding. The notepad is made from luxurious cream paper with gilt edges, covered in lizard embossed card and include a grosgrain ribbon to mark the page. So basically it’s fancy. It’s not something I would purchase on my own (I tend to opt for much less expensive notepads), but I’ll use it. It would also make a great gift for a college graduation or for someone who just started a new job.
~Caeden Linea Nº1 Ceramic & Rose Gold Headphones ($99.99): These headphones were the spoiler for this box. They are “vegan chic” and are the most beautiful headphones I own. The sound was fine (I should warn you that I probably wouldn’t know the difference between amazing quality headphones and just okay headphones) and I just love the rose gold accents. However, I can see those little rose gold pieces getting stuck in my hair if I am not careful. But they are just so gorgeous that I’ll deal with it.
~Lancer Skincare Dani Glowing Skin Perfector ($95): This is sort of like a BB Cream, but not exactly. It’s described as an “illuminating skin finisher and treatment that revitalizes, brightens, and perfects all skintones in one step.” It’s tinted and should be used after applying a moisturizer. If you’d prefer, you can also use as a highlighter. I personally liked it alone over moisturizer with nothing else on.
~Thrive Causemetics Triple Threat Color Stick in Joy ($36): This color stick is vegan, all-natural, Paraben-free, sulfate-free and cruelty-free. You can use it on your cheeks, lips or body. It works wherever you want a shimmery pop of color.
All totaled the Fall 2016 POPSUGAR Limited Edition Box had a value of $392.99. That’s a huge value for one of their limited edition boxes, and I am satisfied with it. The box had six items, which – based on the $100 cost of this box – works it to an actual cost of $16.67 per item. Everything felt like a splurge in here and while I *probably* wouldn’t have paid retail for any of the items, I didn’t have to with this box! I will happily use it all, though.
