MondayMorningRamblings-1024x1010-1

~Good morning! I thought last week was half days / conferences at L’s school, but it’s actually this week! Oops.  Trunk-or-Treat had me all confused last week ;). W also has his Halloween party at school so I have to get some things ready for that.

~A few questions! 1) Does anyone have any magic scar removal treatment? I have a spot on my arm where I had stitches this summer (you guys I have been a mess lately) from getting a mole removed that’s just not going away as quickly as I would like. Is there something better than Mederma out there?  2) Was anyone ever able to get tickets to anything from that Ticketmaster settlement? and 3) Has anyone been to the Paw Patrol Live Stage Show? Is it good? Is Tracker there?

~This week I am expecting Five Four Club, Mine Chest (my boys are obsessed with this box), Koala Crate, Doodle Crate, Stitch Fix, Pampered Mommy Box and a few others. I am really hoping we’ll get some (more) Winter 2016 FabFitFun spoilers this week, but I hoped that last week too, so who knows?

~I don’t watch The Walking Dead, but I am guessing based on my Facebook feed that it was quite a show last night!  I did watch 90 Day Fiance and man, I just don’t see any of those couples (with the exception of Matt and Alla) actually getting married.  Time will tell.  The “Happily Ever After” show should really be called the “Danielle & Mohamed Show”.  She just doesn’t get it.  He’s just not that into you.  I felt bad when she was sobbing at that diner.  I think she really felt like (or wanted to feel like) there was hope. Everyone else was pretty boring, but I do like Kyle and Noon a lot.

~That’s it from here! What you do you have going on this week?

Spread the love

In regards to Ticketmaster, no. For awhile they didn’t have any Detroit area shows and when they finally did, they only had a few seats available with the vouchers. It’s a bummer. I had 16 pairs I could have used.

I know! They haven’t listed any event at a venue I purchased tickets at which annoys me. The only shows they list are for like St. Andrews which yeah, has like 2000 seats, so chances of being able to redeem them are slim. Meanwhile there are TONS of other shows that aren’t selling out that I’d happily use these them!!!

Walking Dead was just too much. They’ve gone too far at this point.

When I had ankle surgery years ago I was told to rub liquid vitamin E into the scar. You could grab the liquid gel vitamin E pills or they should sell liquid vitamin E straight up. Don’t know how pertinent this is since my surgery was……10 years ago already…..wow……

I second this – the Whole Foods near me actually has a little bottle of liquid vitamin E with a rollerball. I used it for burns and other things with great results.

      Thank you!!!!!!

I third it! My dad had an accident at work several years ago where plate glass slid off a rack and cut his wrist wide open… no arteries were severed, but the cut was ugly. After he has his stitches removed the doctor told him to apply vitamin e twice a day. Now it just looks a little pink and a shiny, but you can’t really tell otherwise.

        You guys rock!!!!!

Rodan + Fields has a microdermabrasion roller with night renewing serum that works wonders on scars!

I noticed Cicatrix cream at Rite Aid today; can’t give you any review, tho!

Vitamin E is great and all but sunscreen in that area while you’re treating it is imperative. You want to protect the skin while it is healing so the pigment doesn’t get impacted by the sun. The 20+ surgeries…ugh… I know too well.

I have a lot of experience in the scar department. IMHO Mederma is crap. You’d probably be better off using Bag Balm, it’s a cheaper emollient.

Scarguard MD is expensive but the best I’ve come across. It’s clinically validated… BUT it only works on red, raised scars. My family doc is astounded by my scars, he said he’s never seen scar tissue heal so well.

Sunken scars require seeing a dermatologist for a consult. An emollient may help but don’t have high expectations.

I 100% second the sunscreen. I even use a rash guard too.

If the scar tissue is “stuck” to other tissue, a physical therapist can loosen it through massage w certain instruments.

As always, check with your doctor before you mess with your body.

    Xo and best of luck,

Might be done with The Walking Dead; I couldn’t watch much of this last episode. The Talking Dead afterward was great, though.
Have not been able to use the Ticketmaster vouchers. And I live in Los Angeles where there should be quite a lot of opportunities. Not so much.

I really don’t get that settlement! I hope they eventually release more shows.
