Stitch Fix October 2016 Subscription Box ReviewStitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Stitch Fix is now offering exchanges for sizing as well. Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on, and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix
shipped via USPS this month and took just a few days to arrive. Stitch Fix ships from a few different warehouse locations in the US and shipping varies between USPS and FedEx.

I have a bad habit of leaving my “Stylist Notes” section blank on my Stitch Fix account.  I just let them go with it on my fixes and pick out whatever they think would work.  I did, however, put a link to my Stitch Fix blog reviews in my notes, which I think helps my Stylist.

My October 2016 Stitch Fix included the following pieces:

~Market & Spruce Sejano Suede Detail Knit Top ($64): I was certain I was going to hate this when I saw that it had “suede detail), but I’m in love.  The suede detail is buttery and not the rigid suede I was expecting.  The cut is also perfect, and I love the color.  It’s totally me. Verdict: Keep.

~Look by M Sammie Plaid Infinity Scarf ($34): Unlike a few of the other plaid scarves I have received this season, this one is standard sized – it’s not a blanket scarf.  Happily, it doesn’t “shed” and I didn’t end up with fuzzies all over my shirt after I had it on. I need to go through my closet and check out the plaid scarf situation, but I don’t think I have another plaid like this. Verdict – Keep (I think)

~MTLA Kristin Fleece Legging ($44): I have never owned fleece leggings before!  Sadly I won’t be owning these either because they were a little snug.  I think if they were black I could get away with it, but not with this wine color.  They are incredibly soft inside though and they are also very “me”. Verdict: Returned (Sadly)

~41Hawthorn Kiwi Cocoon Cardigan ($78): My goodness I love this too.  Cardigans and leggings are everything to me.  This one is a great length (it covers my butt), and screams fall to me. I wish the price point were a tad lower, though. Verdict: Undecided.

~RD Style Wilkes Colorblocked Raglan Sweater ($58): This is the only piece from my fix this month that I didn’t like.  I found the color blocking to be an odd pattern and the material just wasn’t me.  I’m also not a fan of sweaters with almost a boatneck neckline. They just don’t work on me. Verdict: Returned.

If I keep everything in the box, it will be $188.50 (plus the $20 styling fee I already paid), which works out to about $38/piece. I’m not going to keep everything, but I think Kate (my Stylist) has been nailing my fixes lately.  I’m super happy with what I have been receiving!
