bluum Review - November 2016 Subscription Box + 50% Off Coupon Code

bluum is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. The selections were pretty limited this month (they have been lately), so I allowed bluum to make the picks for me.

I have gotten bluum for years, and while the boxes have had their ups and downs, I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription (which is for my four-year-old son – aka W).

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.  The October 2016 box was very delayed, but my November box arrived as expected.

bluum boxes don’t include a true information card (product information is located online), but my box didn’t have the normal insert in it either.  Not a huge deal with this subscription though.  My November 2016 bluum box included the following items:

~Rich Frog Bath Sponge – Puppy ($5.95): Cute!  My 4 year-old is still obsessed with taking baths (but does like to wash his own hair / body) and this will make it more fun. It’s adorable too!

~Clive and his Art ($3.48): I don’t think you can go wrong with a book.  Clive loves art – creating art, sharing art and talking about art.  The book is described on Amazon as “celebrating diversity and challenging gender stereotypes”.  That may have went over W’s head but he did love the book.

~Stephen Joseph® Zoo Nesting Snack Containers in Green (Set of 2) ($6.99): These are perfect for my boys.  They need to be eating constantly (growing boys tend to eat a lot) and we go through a ton of bowls.  Lidded bowls like this are even better for snacks on-the-go-!

~Eric Carle The Very Hungry Caterpillar Stencils ($14.97): These stencils are based on the Hungry Caterpillar book and include the caterpillar, butterfly, sun, moon and stars, and of course, the many things the caterpillar consumes.  They are made out of a sturdy cardboard and should hold up through a ton of uses.

~Stephen Joseph Pirated Hooded Towel ($24.99): I feared that this would be too small for W, but I was wrong. It’s perfect.  And he loves it.  It works for the beach or after a bath and SO cute!

All totaled I came up with a value of $56.38 for my November 2016 bluum.  This *might* be my favorite box ever from bluum!  It more than makes up for that mess of a box I received last month.
