ipsy Review - November 2016

ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

My November 2016 “Rockstarlet” ipsy included the following items:

~Ciaté London Liquid Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Diva (2mL) ($5.85): This is a ” long-wearing and ultra-vibrant, moisturizing matte liquid lipstick.”  I tested it, and 100% agree with all of those things.  This lipstick requires a commitment.  LOL!  It’s a bold true red and lasts forever.  I think I may still have some on my arm where I swatched it ;).

~FORMULA X Nail Polish in Huntress (4mL) ($3.50): For some reason I expected Huntress to be a forest green? It’s a deep teal shade.  It’s really pretty, and I am way more excited about this than I expected to be.  I also LOVE the mini bottle!  I can’t say I have ever used up an entire nail polish bottle, so this is perfect.

~tarte cosmetics maracuja oil (7mL) ($7): This oil ” targets individual skin concerns and delivers balanced moisture for firmer, brighter, and smoother-looking skin.”  I am still on the hunt for my holy grail face oil, and maybe this will be it?  I didn’t find it to be greasy and a little goes a long way!  Fingers crossed for amazing results in a few weeks.

~Bonvivant Botanical Pure Masks ($3):  I was expecting to get one mask, not all three, so this is amazing!  I received: #Chamomile + Tea Tree, #Collagen + Olive and #Sodium Hyaluronate + Lotus.  I am going to start using a sheet mask a night  (people swear by this), so the more I can get my hands on, the better.

~theBalm Cosmetics Mad Lash® Mascara (2.5mL) ($5.63): This mascara wasn’t clumpy or too wet, but I didn’t like the brush.  I am a bigger fan of the straight / flat mascara brushes for my lashes.

~The Bag: How cute is this month’s bag?  I love the makeup constellations and the star zipper pull is a nice addition.

All totaled my November 2016 “Rockstarlet” ipsy had a value of $24.98.  To be honest, that’s on the low side for ipsy.  I did like the product mix, though, so overall the bag is a win for me.

Try some of the RAW oils if you get a chance – I got them in the Pearlesque box last month and really like them. Raw is everything oils

Those sheet masks are great! I love the paper they use for the mask…sticks on better than any other mask I’ve ever used.
