~Good morning! I am still trying to catch up on my sleep from watching all this election coverage this week. Happily, my friend won her campaign for Judge! I’ve never volunteered / campaigned at the polls for anyone before and it was pretty interesting.

~Two of my friends (Carrie and Noelle) just started selling LuLaRoe and are having their first sale tomorrow night on Facebook. If you are addicted to leggings, go check them out!

~To round out this week I am expecting SprezzaBox, Love With Food, Bespoke Post, bluum (finally), Kloverbox, Bokksu and my limited edition Birchbox.  I have some other things coming, but I don’t think they will arrive until next week.  I STILL haven’t gotten my October Five Four Club, which has me fairly annoyed. They said it’d be delayed, but I didn’t think it’d be this late.

~Has anyone been to Disney during the holidays? Is the Mickey Christmas party worth it?  Like really worth it?  It’s super expensive and I would love to hear some real life experiences!

~That’s it from here! What boxes are you expecting this week? Any weekend plans?

Spread the love

My 2c on the Christmas party… unless you’re going to forego another park that day, don’t do it – and even then I probably wouldn’t myself. Cookies and hot chocolate to me are not worth it. There are special fireworks and parade but you can see different Christmas fireworks at Hollywood Studios without paying party prices. also if you’re coming close enough to Christmas, they change the normal park day parade to the Christmas parade. Plus you can see the decorations either way …but that’s just me, some people love it 🙂

The Mickey Christmas party is definitely worth it.
Our family did it 3 years in a row, during November and loved it.
It is a late night for little ones though.
They have free hot chocolate and cookies throughout the park, special parades and performances.
We were able to ride our favorite rides over and over without any wait times.
    It was a special memory.

We will try Christmas Party on disney this year for the first time, it sounds so much fun, I was checking the reviews on different blogs to be sure and I like what they said, I know all my family will love it. We are planning to visit universal too, but I am not sure what they have for christmas there.

How do you find the Mickey Christmas party to sign up for it. Also we are going to Orlando and Disneyworld the second week in December. Any tips or ticks we should know about? Anything that is a must do?

That is a great week to go to Disney. Don’t forget to go to Epcot and check out the different countries. In December they have story tellers at each on that will tell you that countries Christmas story. It is so beautiful and interesting. If you are going to be there the Candlelight Processional is not to be missed. My now 8 year old still talks about it and we haven’t gone during December in about 3 years.

We have been to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We LOVE the Halloween party, but once was enough for the Christmas party. Good things about it are: fewer people in the park, hardly any lines (except for 7D Mine Train – ALWAYS a line), it “snows” (tiny soap bubbles) on Main St. Not great things about it are: it’s pretty late for my younger kids 7 p.m. to midnight, it’s expensive, it’s not super exciting. It may be that we’ve been to both parties, and can compare them. The Halloween party FEELS like a party, but the Christmas party feels significantly less so. If your boys are into the Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom cards, they will give out a special card that you can only get at the Christmas party, so that’s pretty cool, too. Not worth the price of admission, but cool! Whether it’s worth it or not depends on what you really want out of the party. For us, getting to ride A LOT of rides with minimal wait time is the best thing about the parties. The “snow” was pretty neat for my kids, too, because we rarely get to see snow. That would not be a big deal for your kids!

A note if you do go for it, while the official party time starts at 7 – when everyone else has to be out, you can get in with a party ticket starting at 4pm.

After reading this yesterday, I booked a trip to go to the Christmas Party. We have never been to Disney and are taking our four kiddos (ages 8, 7, 6, 2). Where to start…oh my! I’ve read Jennifer’s thoughts on Disney before and the park being somewhat less crowded was all I needed to tip me over to pull the trigger! HELP PLEASE!!! What did I just get us into???

Oh my goodness. You will have so much fun. Did you use a travel agent to book your trip? She should be able to send you tons of fun information and helpful ideas. If not I am one and I’ll be glad to help talk you through your thoughts and ideas. 🙂 you can see my facebook page that I post lots of fun information on at http://www.facebook.com/jennyatlovethemousetravel and then just message me there and we can talk about it. I have an 8 and a 5 year old and they love Disney. You are going to have a blast.

I love the parties. Like others said there are somewhat less people there for them and you can get in at 4. I normally suggest not doing another park that morning and hanging at the resort and/or maybe a nice breakfast somewhere and then be ready to go in at 4. There are so many fun and cool just party things that you won’t want to spend the whole time riding rides but you can get a couple in before the party really kicks off and then intermixed with the party fun. I was there last week and while the party hadn’t started yet I did get to see the decorations going up and they are gorgeous. You will have a great time!!!
