Boxwalla boxes (the boxes themselves) are probably one of the most interesting boxes out there. They are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves nine steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in.
The February 2017 Boxwalla Beauty Box theme was “Secret Garden” and included the following items:
~One Love Organics Love Springs Eternal Youth Preservation Serum (1oz) ($75): I am not sure I could be any more excited about this. I love the brand and have loved everything I have ever tried from them. This serum has “Blue Seakale, a marine plant, to soothe and revitalize; and protein-rich sea algae, to deeply moisturize for improved skin tonicity and firmness. ” It felt amazing on my skin and soaked in easily. It smells a little funky, but it made my face glow, so I don’t even care.
~H is for Love BARA Balm Facial Emollient (1oz) ($70): This balm is “formulated to take moisturizing to another level.” You can use it alone, in addition to your face oil or even as a spot treatment. I have been looking for a hydrating neck cream to use at night and think I am going to try this for a while. I’m not sure how to describe the smell on this. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t love it either.
~H is for Love Lip Glace (Root & Berry) ($17): Gorgeous! This glace is “derived from berries, roots, and flowers and completely void of mica, iron oxides or mineral pigments.” It’s so moisturizing like a balm but still, gives you a great color. I am in love.
All totaled the February 2017 Boxwalla Beauty Box had a value of $162. I am blown away. That’s over 3x the cost of the box, and everything in here was a huge hit. Nothing felt like a filler item, and the quality and curation was top notch. Best Boxwalla Beauty Box to date!
