Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and tends to take just a few days to arrive to me. You make your selections for the box between the 20th and 25th of the month, and you can expect to receive your box in the first few days of the next month.
I received the box that was preselected box for me this month. I tried to make selections, but I kept getting errors, and it wouldn’t allow me to make any picks, so I eventually gave up and kept the box I was assigned. Does anyone else have this issue with Julep? I am wondering if maybe I need to try making my selections in a different browser (I currently use Safari).
The February 2017 Julep theme was “Cozy in Love” and included the following items:
~Julep Charissa Nail Color ($11.20 / $14): Charissa is a Mineral Red Crème. It’s probably not a color I would select on my own, but seeing it in person makes me like it better. Maybe not picking my own box is a good for some things.
~It’s Balm – Toasted Pecan ($16 / $20): Toasted pecan is a Mocha Nude Crème. It’s a lip crayon, and it’s SO SO pretty. It feels like more of a balm on but looks like a lipstick.
~When Pencil Met Gel – Clay ($12.80 / $16): I think we all know how I feel about eyeliner, so I am not super into this. The color is wearable and it glides on smoothly, but I just don’t wear eyeliner.

~Love Your Bare Face Sample: The box also included a sample of Julep’s Love Your Bare Face Hydrating Cleansing Oil. I have never gotten a sample from Julep before, and I am hoping this is the start of a new trend with them.
All totaled my February 2017 Julep had a value of $40. It was part hit, part miss for me. I am going to have to figure out my selection issues before the March box is released so I can make that box a total hit!
