GlobeIn has two box themes this month – Unwind and Dine. This review is on the Dine box. You can see my review on the “Unwind” box here.
The March 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Dine” themed box included the following items:
~Hand-Painted Pasta Bowl, Tunisia (Retail $26): This bowl is stunning. We received this same bowl – different colorway – a few months back and I’ll tell you what, I would love to entire an entire set of these in different patterns. These are handmade by Le Souk artisans with no machinery whatsoever.
~Organic Volcano Rice, Indonesia (Retail $3.64): This rice is an excellent source of magnesium, manganese, and phosphorus. It is grown on West Java’s mineral-rich volcanic soil, and they use a different method of growing called “More Crop Per Drop” which allows them to double and triple their yields while using up to 50% less water and no agrochemicals.
~Spice Grinder, South Africa (Retail $12): Subscribers will either receive “Moroccan Harissa” or “Hot Rocks Mild” spice blend. I received the Moroccan Harissa blend which is a blend of chili, salt, caraway, cumin, coriander seed, garlic, mint and coriander leaves. I tried it on cauliflower rice and chicken (basically my go to meal), and it took it to the next level.
~Olive Wood Spork, Tunisia (Retail $10): This spork was crafted in Tunisia by Le Souk Olivique, a woodworking studio which is an offshoot of Le Souk Ceramique – the company that brought u the bowl from this month’ box. This will be a great serving piece for summer parties.
~Palm-Leaf Bottle Basket, Mexico (Retail $12): Sometimes GlobeIn includes their signature palm leaf basket in boxes and sometimes you can swap out the basket for a different item. Basket vary in color, sizes, and shape and can be used for anything from storing toiletries in your bathroom to using as a gift box/wine tote.
~GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ (Retail $3): GlobeIn has been including greeting cards in their boxes lately. They work just as well framed as they would as an actual greeting card!
