Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and tends to take just a few days to arrive to me. You make your selections for the box between the 20th and 25th of the month, and you can expect to receive your box in the first few days of the next month.
I didn’t go for any add-ons this month. I just got my normal monthly box.
The April 2017 Julep theme was “Relax & Remix” and included the following items:
~Marianne (Wonder Maven) ($11.20 / $14): Marianne is a Tuttie Frutti Matte Glitter Top Coat. It has flakes of pink and orange and reminds me of candy. It’s called a top coat, but with enough layers, you could wear it alone as well. I am thinking of layering a fun orange under it.
~Ani (Boho Glam) ($11.20 / $14): Ani is a Periwinkle Frenzy Matte Glitter Top Coat. Ani is another fun top coat. This one has flecks of blue and purple, and again, it’s billed as a topcoat, but will work alone as well. I was surprised by how much coverage these provided. I expected the flecks to be more few and far between, but that was not the case at all!
~Feels Like Velvet – 5th Ave & Broadway ($16 / $20): Ohh, these colors! It’s a Peach Matte & Rose Gold Shimmer duo, and they are subtle but STUNNING. They are smooth, shimmery, and so pretty. I couldn’t be happier with these. They don’t have a ton of pigment, but I like that.
Free Gift
~Delaney (It Girl) ($11.20 / $14): This month’s box included a free gift! I received Delaney, which is a Blue Atoll Vivid Sheer. I think I have this color already, but I will pass it on to friend to enjoy. Julep is great with their free gifts, and I love that they think of their subscribers!
All totaled my April 2017 Julep had a value of $49.60. That is using Maven pricing (discounted pricing for subscribers) and included the value of the bonus gift. That’s over the double the cost of the box, and I love everything in it. Great month!
