The May 2017 MyIrelandBox included the following items:
~Artwood by Giolla Liddy (~$31): Gorgeous! This moon suncatcher is made out of locally sourced Irish Ash wood and uses non-toxic finished and environmentally friendly packaging. I couldn’t get a picture of it in the light to do it the justice it deserves, but it is beautiful. The crystal acts a prism when sunlight hits and displays a beautiful rainbow of colors. A stunning and unique piece!
~A Box for My Treasure by Judith Ritchie (~$30): I couldn’t find this exact bracelet online, so I linked to a similar one. It’s a slim curved sterling silver bar accented with silver and green beads. Very delicate and very pretty.
~The Three Sisters – by the Artist Stephen Flynn: This postcard can be framed or mailed to a friend. I had to google “Three Sisters” as I was anticipating seeing three girls on the postcard. Turns out The Three Sisters are three rivers in Ireland: the River Barrow, the River Nore and the River Suir. This postcard depicts Cumar na dTrí Uisce which translates to “the confluence of the three waters.” Now I know! The flowers in the front are montbretia which light up the hedgerows in the late summer months.
I couldn’t find prices for everything in here, so I was unable to do a cost breakdown again this month. I was impressed with the quality of the selections and can’t get over how pretty that moon suncatcher is!
