I had been so excited to get this box and could not wait to get it open!  The box has a baseball diamond printed on the inside along with a scoreboard.

This is the absolute coolest information card I have ever received.  The front is designed to look like a ticket, and it includes product details, a Sports Crate welcome, and information on their Golden Tickets.  The May 2017 Detroit Tigers MLB “BRINGIN’ THE HEAT” Sports Crate included the following items:

~BALLERS Justin Verlander Action Figure: BALLERS are the first action figures with SportsFlex posable technology (including 21 points of articulation).  Sports Crate sent starting pitchers, so I received Justin Verlander!  I have to admit; I thought this would be more…..something.  I am far from being a posable figure expert, but this just seemed awkward to me.  He’s almost too bendy?

~MLB James McCann Cornhole Game: The spoiler had me thinking that this was made out of cardboard, but it’s wood.  Not a particularly heavy wood, but it’s wood nonetheless and very sturdy. The Tigers one features James McCann who will catch one of the four included baseball bean bags.  It can be used indoors or outside and will provide hours of fun for us.

~Bringin’ The Heat T-Shirt: The information card calls this a t-shirt, but I think it’s more of a jersey.  It reminds me of tech shirts you get at races.  It has moisture-wicking technology and is a Sports Crate exclusive.  The sizes on Sports Crate are mens, and I think they run true-to-size, maybe a little large.  I opted for a medium, but I think a small would have been better in this material.  I’m hoping the Tigers make it to the playoffs (fingers crossed) and this would be ideal with a long sleeved shirt layered underneath on a chilly fall night!

~Justin Verlander TOPPS Trading Card:  I couldn’t even tell you the last time I got a baseball card?  My brother and I used to collect them when we were kids (more him than me but I still had a bunch), and I remember the excitement of getting a rookie card or one of your favorite players (like Verlander).  Every month Sports Crate will send a limited-edition Topps baseball card with one of your favorite players.

~Bringin’ The Heat Pin: This pin was “inspired by the Tigers flame throwing pitchers.”  They are clearly not talking about the bullpen!!!

~Sports Crate Portable Cooler: This wasn’t on the information card, but my box also included a Sports Crate portable cooler.  Just the right size to pack a lunch and maybe a drink or two for your pre-gaming activities.

~One Month of MLB TV: Subscribers were e-mailed a code for a one-month membership to MLB.TV!  Or they were supposed to be anyway.  I know some people have received theirs, but I am still waiting on mine.  I’ll give it a few days and e-mail them if I haven’t received it.

I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on this box (most of these items were Sports Crate exclusives), but I am happy with my first box.  The figure was a bit of letdown, but overall I liked it.  It had six items which works out to less than $7 per item.

What do you think of Sports Crate?  If you are interested in subscribing (this box is still available), you can check them out here.
