BOXYCHARM Subscription Review - June 2017

The June 2017 BOXYCHARM theme is “Downtown Charm” and included the following items:

RealHer Eyeshadow Palette (Feel Beautiful, Do Your Squats or Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful) ($28): I received Be Your Own Kind of Beauty, which is a Nude Collection, but Feel Beautiful (Smokey Violet Collection) and Do Your Squats (Perfect Basics) were also sent out to subscribers.  From the sounds of it, the Nude Collection wasn’t the preferred Palette to receive, but I am thrilled.  The colors are rich and buildable and have just the perfect amount of shimmer.BOXYCHARM Subscription Review - June 2017

~Biobelle Sheet Masks (Set of 3) ($15):  All subscribers received the following masks: #primer (boosts facial texture, minimizes pores and evens skin tone while prepping the skin for a flawless makeup application), #iwokeuplikethis (purifies, exfoliates, & brightens), and #beautysecret (tightens, brightens, and deeply hydrates the skin).  I love that we received three different masks and look forward to testing each one!

~Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder (Illuminati) ($26.99): Another highlighter?  I thought ugh, that’s not very exciting.  And then I swatched it.  OMG, this is incredible.  It glides on smoothly and gives you an incredible light silver and champagne iridescence glow.  Stunning!

~OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick (Santa Ana) ($19.90): I received the Santa Ana shade, but some subscribers received Tuscany.  Santa Ana is described as a berry rose and universally flattering pink shade with a hydrating matte finish.  It stayed put and didn’t look dry or cracked on my lips.  It’s bold (for me), but I do like the shade.

~Luxie Rose Gold Pro Precision Tapered Face Brush 640 ($24): Subscribers either received the Luxie brush I did or the Aesthetica Pro Brush Series: Tapered Highlight and Blending Makeup Brush #H22 ($21).  It’s designed to dust the excess powder (also known as “the bake”) off your face, but will also work for highlighting.  I had no idea that there was a term for excess powder and felt very enlightened by this.  I do want to mention that my brush was bent (the bristles arrived leaning towards one side), but I hear that washing the brush with hot water and letting air dry will fix that.
