July 2017 bluum
bluum is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand-selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  They now have an option that allows you to select the items you wish to receive in your boxes which I think is awesome. You don’t have to pick, but the option is there if you’d like to. I never went and made my selections this month, so bluum to make the picks for me.

bluum
Cost: $34/month
Ships To: United States and APO/FPO addresses.

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

My July 2017 bluum box (for W who is a 5-year-old boy) included the following:

~Skip Hop Forget Me Not Lunch Kit ($9): The Forget Me Not Lunch Kit is BPA-free, PVC-free, Phthalate-free, and Dishwasher Safe.  The clips were easy to use (W tested them and could do it), but he did need some help with the snack container inside.

~Shadow Puppets Forest Friends ($16.99):  The Forest Friends Shadow Puppets set includes eight laser-cut puppets on wooden sticks.  We loved these!  It’s a toy that never gets old because you can make a new story every time you play.  I also appreciate that the packaging also serves as a storage case.

~Melissa & Doug Magnetic Wooden Bug-Catching Game ($7.99):  I think this game is a little young for W (it’s labeled 3+), but I feel like he wouldn’t agree.  Still, I am going to gift this to a friend with toddlers who will get more use out of this.

~My Zoo Animals Activity and Sticker Book ($4.99):  I have been trying to make sure that the boys get a little “school work” in this summer and this will be nice for W.  Nothing too difficult – just something that he can sit down and focus on.

All totaled my July 2017 bluum box had a value of $39.  I thought this box was a great value and while I know that W is outgrowing this box, I still think the picks (most of them anyway) worked for him.

What do you think of bluum?  If you are interested in ordering, you can get 30% off your first month of a new 6 or 12-month subscription.
