I had been eyeing Cozy Reader Club for a long time now and finally decided to take the plunge a few months ago. I knew going in that it wasn’t going to be a “value” subscription, but it’s a box I see pictures of and wish I would have ordered.
The July 2017 Cozy Reader Club included the following items:
~Hello Sunshine, Laura Dave ($15.27): I was so excited to see that Hello Sunshine was their July pick! I had been eying it, and now I don’t have to buy it / check it out. So far it seems like it’s going to be a quick beach read kind of book. Not too much to think about, but more than enough to keep you interested.
From Amazon:
Sunshine Mackenzie is living the dream—she’s a culinary star with millions of fans, a line of #1 bestselling cookbooks, and a devoted husband happy to support her every endeavor.
And then she gets hacked.
When Sunshine’s secrets are revealed, her fall from grace is catastrophic. She loses the husband, her show, the fans, and her apartment. She’s forced to return to the childhood home—and the estranged sister—she’s tried hard to forget. But what Sunshine does amid the ashes of her own destruction may well save her life.
In a world where celebrity is a careful construct, Hello, Sunshine is a compelling, funny, and evocative novel about what it means to live an authentic life in an inauthentic age.
~The Tea Spot, Morning Mojo ($7.95): The Tea Spot Morning Mojo is a Black & Pu-erh tea blend. It has more caffeine than other teas, but half that of coffee. The box contains 12 tea sachets, which should be more than enough to get you thru the book.
~Benjamin Soap Co. Bath Tea ($20): Beath Tea is a blend of organic rose petals, calendula & cornflower petals, lavender buds, pacific sea salt, & pink Himalayan salts. It smells incredible. Also included in the jar is a reusable cotton muslin bag. With a muslin bag you don’t have to worry about your bath tea getting caught in the drain and causing a big mess!
~Cypress Skin Care, Body Love ($20): Body Love calms, soothes and nourishes the skin. I have a few weird rough patches on my skin and that this is going to be amazing for.
~Marley’s Monsters, Facial Rounds ($5): I love these, but I don’t use them on my face. I clean my iPhone lens with them. They work like a charm. They are made from 100% cotton bamboo and can be machine washed. Note – organic bamboo flannel is pre-washed to minimize shrinking, so you won’t end up with super tiny little rounds.
~Gypsy Soul Organics, Cherry Beebee Lip Balm ($2.99): Cherry Beebee smells GOOD!!! Of course, it’s also moisturizing and soothing, but the best part is the smell.
~Grey Ghost Bakery, Cinnamon Pecan Cookies ($4.99): Cookies! These crunchy cookies are rolled in toasted pecans and cinnamon. They are all-natural and in a bowl of vanilla ice-cream? OMG!
All totaled the July 2017 Cozy Reader Club had a value of $76.27. Cozy Reader Club isn’t known for their outstanding values, but they always put together a great box!
