GlobeIn has two box themes this month – Adventure and Bathe.  This review is on “Bathe.” You can check out my review on the Adventure box here. Note: GlobeIn also featured a Bathe themed box (same items with one additional item) in January 2016.

The July 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Bathe” themed box included the following items:

~Hand Towel (Izmir, Turkey) ($12): This towel is fantastic!  It’s thick and soft, and the color is stunning!

~Pestemal Bath Towel (Denizli, Turkey) ($25): This towel is super thin and lightweight, but it absorbs well and will cover your entire body. Because they are so thin, Turkish towels are super easy to store and perfect to stash in a beach tote!

~Lemongrass Citrus African Black Soap (Togo) (5oz / 142g) ($4.99): Alaffia soap is made from a centuries old recipe of handcrafted shea butter and West African palm kernel oil.  They use profits from their soap to fund maternal care for women of rural Togo and sends bicycles for Tologese students who may live as far as 10 miles from school and would previously have to walk to get there.  You’ll smell good and do good by using this soap.

~Silk Face Scrub (Bursa, Turkey) (~$5): I remembered this from the January box and wasn’t a fan. You use it after a hot shower when your skin is soft and damp and then rinse with cold water.  It’s silk, so it is supposed to purify your face and neck and boost collagen production, but it felt awkward to use.

~GlobeIn Signature Palm Leaf Basket from Oaxaca, Mexico ($12): The baskets are back!  GlobeIn suggests using them to store small bathroom accessories, but you can do just about anything with them from holding kids toys to using them to package gifts.

All totaled the July 2017 GlobeIn Artisan “Bathe” Box had a value of about $59.  If you missed this box the first time, getting the chance to pick it up again was great!  One of the best things about GlobeIn is that you get to see what’s in the box before you commit which I love.

What do you think of GlobeIn? If you are interested in subscribing, you can head over to their site and get signed up. Don’t forget that new customers can use the coupon code “WELCOME” to save $10 off their first month of a 3-month subscription to GlobeIn Artisan Box.
