Play! by Sephora Review - July 2017

The July 2017 Play! by Sephora theme is “Glamp Out” and included the following items:

~IT Cosmetic Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (5mL) ($13.30): Ohhh, love!  IT Cosmetics makes the best CC ever, and this mascara is pretty fabulous as well.  It’s crazy volumizing and doesn’t clump.  The brush does a great job separating the lashes, and I didn’t feel like I needed to use a separate brush to “fix” my lashes after applying this.

~Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask (30mL) ($10.40): The Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator works best at correcting dryness and redness.  It’s a fix for skin irritated by sunburn, peels, super strong facials or waxing.  It did feel quite soothing after a hot day, but I am not sure that I would spend $52 for a full-size of this.

~Madame C.J. Walker Beauty Culture Dream Come True Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque (1.25oz) ($6.67): This mask works to deep condition and rehydrate dry, damaged, or color-treated hair.  That is ME!!!  I applied it for 15 minutes (as per the instructions) and then rinsed with cool water.  I *probably* could still use a haircut, but my ends are looking better already!

Play! by Sephora Review - July 2017

~Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Woppin Watermelon (No Size List) (~$8.50): This doesn’t have a size listed, but I am estimating it to be about half of the full-size.  The information card calls Clinique Chubby Sticks a cult-favorite, and I’d agree.  I think just about everyone has tried one at some point.  Woppin Watermelon is a sheer, barely there, pink.  Very subtle.  Very pretty.

~Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream (15mL) ($13.50): Ren’s Day Cream is a nice solid everyday moisturizer.  It’s not too light or too thick and is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. The only thing that could really make this better would be if it had a built-in SPF!

Play! by Sephora Review - July 2017

~Guerlain Mon Guerlain (0.7mL) ($1.32): This was really the only miss of the box for me.  It’s a “warm and spicy” scent, which isn’t what I learn towards in summer months. The main notes are Jasmine, Lavender, and Vanilla – all of which I like, so maybe I will try this again when it cools down.

All totaled my July 2017 Play! by Sephora (I received Box #064 – see all variations here) had a value of just about $54.  That’s a great value, and I loved this month!  It fit my profile much better than last month’s box did that’s for sure.

What did you think of the July 2017 Play! by Sephora?  If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.

Spread the love
