GLOSSYBOX
Cost: $21/month.
Ships To: United States.
Coupon Code: See Below.
Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own, and no compensation was received.
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month. Sometimes it’s the last week of the month; sometimes it’s closer to the beginning of the month.
I may have known spoilers for this box, but there were lots of variations, so opening it up was almost like being unspoiled. Almost.
I believe there was some sort of error with printing (some) of the information booklets this month, so my box included a paper printout of the product list.
My August 2017 GLOSSYBOX (there were lots of variations this month) included the following:
~Doctor Babor Hydro RX 3D Gel Eye Pads (1 set) ($7.25): he 3D Hydro Gel Eye Pads are used around the eye to refresh the skin and give you a radiant, more hydrated appearance. I have tried these in the past, and they do work well. My eyes always feel (and look) quite refreshed. They are pricey though, so they’d never be an everyday thing for me.
~bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash (60mL) ($9): I used to use bliss products on a regular basis, so I loved seeing it in here! It’s a 2-in-1 cleanser and exfoliator (it feels like a cleanser though) and is designed for all skin types. It smells fruity, and this is a perfect travel size.
~Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10): Brow tamers are one of the few (brow) products that I love seeing pop up in subscription boxes. This tames your brows (it fixes brow bedhead) without being sticky or leaving your brows crunchy. Good stuff!
~Freeman Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask (4oz) ($7.99): This is listed on the GLOSSYBOX card as a “GLOSSY-FAVE Bonus Product). Freeman is known as a drugstore brand, but I don’t mind them tossing in bonus products one-bit! The serum-infused clay mask aims to clear pores, and the activated Charcoal gently draws out oils and toxins without over-drying your skin.
~Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara (2mL) ($6): This mascara just launched, so I am pretty much GLOSSYBOX is the first subscription box to feature it. It went on smoothly (no clumping), but I wouldn’t say that my lashes looked “big”. Nice formula, but I wished it gave more volume.
~DOUCCE Freematic Blush($14): GLOSSYBOX subscribers received the DOUCCE X GLOSSYBOX Blush Duo Palette (with one blush) in the July box, and the August box included the second blush to complete the palette. GLOSSYBOX also gave subscribers the option to choose which color (two choices were given) they wished to receive in their August box. I think this was GLOSSYBOX’s first attempt at product customization and I hope we see more of it down the road.
All totaled the August 2017 GLOSSYBOX had a value of $54.24. That’s a nice value (well over 2x the cost of the box), but nothing in here woww’ed me this month.
