ipsy Review - October 2017
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

ipsy

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail.  Mine arrived very early this month!

ipsy bags have a ton of variation, so they don’t include product details on their information card. If you happen to stumble on this review, don’t be surprised if you end up with an entirely different bag. Specific details on the items in your bag can be found in your ipsy account online.

The October 2017 ipsy theme is “spellbound” and my Glam Bag included the following items:

~ipsy Bag: I love this bag!  The crimson bag has a lace design (it’s smooth to the touch) and a bat zipper-pull.  Love!

~IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder (3g) ($9.67): Yaaass!!  I have been wanting to try this and was thrilled to see it in my ipsy bag.  It’s designed to visually blur the appearance of pores and imperfections.  It’s an Instagram filter for your face basically.  Just be careful not to apply too much because it could end up looking cakey.

~TONYMOLY Peach Hand Cream (10mL) ($3.96): Not only is this an amazing hand cream, but it also smells fantastic.  It has Peach and Apricot Extracts and Shea Butter to tame dry skin and anti-wrinkle ingredients to give you smoother, softer hands.  I have my fingers crossed we’ll be seeing more TONYMOLY in future ipsy bags.

~Furless Black Beauty Blending Crease Brush ($11.99): You can use this brush to apply eyeshadow, apply concealer under your eyes, blend lipstick and even contour around your nose area.  It’s super versatile and has soft vegan bristles.

~Skinvolve Phoenician Secret Scrub – Peppermint (25g) ($2.75): The reviews on this one are right, this is “super peppermint”.  The scent will for sure wake you up in the morning.  It will also leave your skin a little tingly and incredibly smooth.

~Nail Medic Charcoal Infused Nail Polish in Volcanic Ash ($7.99): Volcanic Ash is a steely gray shade.  At first, I thought this was just a nail treatment, but it’s an actual polish.  It does have bits of charcoal in it to make your nails stronger and protect them from toxins and pollutants though.  I am not in love with this color, but it’s supposed to be chip-proof and will last a full week.  For that, I can learn to love this shade.
All totaled my October 2017 ipsy bag had a value of $36.36. That’s a nice value for a $10 subscription, and I am happy with my items this month.  I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I feel like values have been decreasing the past few months.  Has anyone else experienced this?
