It should be noted that Mine Chest has recently joined forces with Loot Crate and now ships bi-monthly instead of monthly. In addition, the price has increased from $36.99 to $39.99/box.

Mine Chest ships via FedEx Smart Post. This box was supposed to shop around the 15th of September (at least I think so anyway) but didn’t end up shipping until a few weeks after that. That’s actually not too bad for Mine Chest!

Mine Chest Review - September / October 2017
My boys are 5 and 9 and are absolutely obsessed with Minecraft. They always get so excited to open up these boxes.  I pretty much have to sneak the box into the house, take the pictures and then box it all up again for them to go crazy with.

Mine Chest Review - September / October 2017
The September / October 2017 Mine Chest theme was “SECRET OF THE IGLOO” and included the following items:

~Villager T-Shirt: Like with all Mine Chest crates, I had to get my boys to explain this to me. It is, according to L (he’s 9), a Zombie Villager and Villager, with the Zombie Villager about to turn into a regular Villager.  What that means I don’t know, but he put this shirt on about two minutes after opening the box, so I assume it’s good.

~Ocelot Scarf: Yaaasss!  Not only was I excited about this, but so was my 5-year-old.  He needed a new scarf (winter is coming!), and this is one he will actually wear.  Both boys will end up sharing it, I am sure because it’s that cool.

~Block of Wood Stuffed Block:  Mine Chest loves to include stuffed animals and objects, and my boys love it.   W (my 5-year-old) has this on display in his room.

~Polar Bear Pin: Every Mine Chest (so far) has included a pin, and I think this polar bear has been our favorite.  It’s larger than most of the other pins and so cute!

~Snowman Sticker Sheet (Mine Chest exclusive):  I thought this was a Halloween Minecraft item, but the boys explained to me that’s how snowmen in Minecraft look.  When you sheer off their pumpkin head, it will turn into a more traditional looking snowman head!

We loved this box!  It was also noted (and appreciated) that this box did not include the stamp/ink pad that they have included in every Mine Chest since the beginning.  I love that they are switching things up!

Did you get the September / October 2017 Mine Chest?  What’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing, you can get signed up here.  You have until November 15th at 9 pm PST to get signed up for the next box.
