GlobeIn has two box themes this month – Play and Cheers. This review is on “Cheers.”
The December 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Cheer” themed box included the following items:
1) Confetti Champagne Flutes, Mexico, 9″ (Retail $16 each): Stunning! I can’t stop looking at the these and watching the light bounce off them. They are hand-blown in Mexico by artisans with Cristaluc. Cristaluc provides their artisans a steady income and a supportive and inspiring space to practice their art.
2) Checkered Table Cloth, India, 62″ x 42″ (Retail $40): This seems like more of a summer item to me, but I am sure that after a few more weeks of winter I will be ready for some warm weather decorations here! It has a bit of texture to it, and I may take GlobeIn’s advice and layer it with another color table cloth for a festive meal.
3) Elephant Poo Greeting Card, Sri Lanka (Retail $6): This card is made from 100% recycled elephant dung. Don’t worry though – they don’t smell. LOL! It’s certainly a unique item and will make a great conversation piece.
4) Mini Palm Leaf Basket, Mexico, 3″ x 4″ (Retail $10): The final item in the box was a mini palm leaf basket. They are handmade in Oaxaca, Mexico and are great for storage in the bathroom. Cotton balls or Q-tips ft perfectly.
All totaled the December 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Cheer” box had a value of $88. This was a fun and festive box that would double as a fantastic hostess gift!
