ipsy Review - December 2017
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

ipsy bags have a ton of variation, so they don’t include product details on their information card. If you happen to stumble on this review, don’t be surprised if you end up with an entirely different bag. Specific details on the items in your bag can be found in your ipsy account online.

The December 2017 ipsy theme is “Snow Globe,” and my Glam Bag included the following items:

~Too Faced Melted Latex (Hot Mess) (3mL) (~$5): Hot Mess is an intense pink shade.  It feels a little sticky on, but nothing too bad.  I think the color is just too much for me personally, but I know some people will love it, and it’ll look fantastic on them!

~Derma-E Essentials Radiant Glow & Face Oil (3.75mL) ($1.30): This oil works to soften, illuminate and add nourishing hydration to your skin.  I don’t tend to have too much luck with face oils – on my face, so I think I will use this mainly on my neck/chest area.

~Luxie Beauty Precision Shader Onyx Brush 239 ($14):  This shading eye brush works for both powder and cream shadows.  The bristles are hypoallergenic, high-quality, vegan and made from cruelty-free materials.  I found the brush easy to use and didn’t experience any fallout while testing it.

~Nip+Fab Hydrate Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum (20mL) ($8.28): Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum plumps skin which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  The scent is pretty powerful, but it seemed to help with the fine lines around the corners of my eyes, so that’s a trade-off I’m okay with.

~Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL in Black (13mL) (~$14):  I think I mentioned it, but I recently got lash extensions (again), so I can’t test this out.  I did think it seemed a little clumpy on the brush, but maybe it goes on more smoothly.

~The Bag: This is a great bag for this month’s theme!  It reminds me of the movie Frozen!

All totaled my December 2017 ipsy had a value of about $43.  My feelings on it are mixed.  I am not in love with everything in it, but the value was great, and it was worth way more to be than the $10 I spent!
