Wise Apple prepares, packs and delivers wholesome ready-to-serve meals to your doorstep. Their fresh, healthy, kid-inspired lunches are designed to make your life easier by taking the work out of packing lunches. My boys are 5 and 9 (kindergarten and 4th grade) and bring their lunches to school most days, so I was excited to test this service out.

Wise Apple ships on a weekly basis. My order arrived via FedEx, but if you live in IL, IN or WI they deliver via United Delivery Service.
Wise Apple packages their items in cooled, insulated boxes, so everything stays perfectly fresh.
You can select your meals based on what your kids (or you) like to eat. If you forget to make a selection, Wise Apple will make it for you.
Each shipment includes detailed nutritional information for all of the foods in the box that week. It includes “Enjoy By” dates, portion sizes, and ingredients. I have never had issues with anything being spoiled or “bad”. Everything has been fresh and without any issues!
My January 2018 Wise Apple included the following lunches:
~Ham & Cheese Please: Ham & Cheese Please includes Ham & Cheddar Cheese Slices, Green Apples, Wheat Crackers, Spinach & Artichoke Dip and Chocolate Chip Cookies. With the exception of the spinach dip, my youngest (he’s 5) ate everything! He’s a picky eater, so that’s huge.
~Layers of Lasagna: Layers of Lasagna included Lasagna, Green Apples, Veggie Chips and Chocolate Chip Cookies. One thing about Wise Apple that my kids can’t get into is the cold food. If it is supposed to be cold (like the ham & cheese) that’s okay, but if they know it’s supposed to warm (like lasagna) it’s a miss. I enjoyed it (it could have used a bit more flavor) and I do like that the containers are removable, so I can pop the 3 items they would eat from here into their lunchbox and add a sandwich.
~Let’s Kick It Chicken Salad: Let’s Kick It Chicken Salad included Chicken Salad, Veggie Chips, Fruit Salad and a Veggie Brownie. I think the Veggie Brownie is my 9-year-old’s all-time favorite Wie Apple item. It has Sweet Potato in it and he just loves it! I ate the chicken salad (my kids did not even want to try it) but oldest took everything else in his lunch.
~Lip Smackin Mac & Cheese: Lip Smackin Mac & Cheese included Mac & Cheese, Green Apples, Baby Carrots and Yogurt Ranch, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Again, my kids couldn’t get into the Mac & Cheese because it was cold. They also avoided the Yogurt Ranch – which I would have been all over! With ranch is the only way I like carrots!
~Pita Pizza: Pita Pizza included Pita Pizza, Veggie Chips, Red Grapes and a Veggie Brownie. Now my kids will eat cold pizza, so this entire lunch went to school with my 9-year-old. Again, the Veggie Brownie was his favorite.
What do you think of Wise Apple? If you are interested in ordering, you can use coupon code “SUBBOX20” to save $20 off your first delivery. That brings the cost of a week down to $21.86 (including the tax on shipping) or $4.37/meal. I think that’s more than worth it and it’s a great way to try the service!
