Yuzen Review - Winter 2017
Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back.  I like the quarterly format of this box better than monthly.

I say it every time I do a Yuzen review, but I am always impressed by the packaging on their boxes.  Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.

The Winter 2017 Yuzen box included the following items:

~Mindful Anti-Aging Eye Serum ($49): This anti-aging eye serum targets fine lines and wrinkles, and hydrates the delicate skin around your eyes.  It’s made in the USA and is Vegan, Paraben-free, Sulfate-free, Gluten-free, Cruelty-free.  I found it to be gentle and very moisturizing.

~Z Skin Age Defying Hydroxy Face Mask ($17): This face mask is billed as the organic alternative to professional peels.  My face felt smoother and tighter, but I am not certain I could see any huge changes after just one use.  It wasn’t irritating or harsh, and I think using it 2 or 3x/week would be sufficient.

~Modicum Essential Exfoliant (10mL) ($6): This exfoliant removes dead skin, without stripping away moisture.  I mixed a small amount with water, but I feel like you could mix it with any liquid (yogurt, honey, etc.) to get a customized treatment.

~ila Beyond Organic Body Wash for Toning Skin (~$5): This body wash contains Quillaja, Apricot Oil, and Vetivert Oil.  These naturals oils wake up the senses while also cleansing and nourishing your skin.  A great size for traveling!

~Modicum Essential Cleanser (10mL) ($9.33): Cleansers are one of my favorite items to receive in subscription boxes.  This one is gentle and left my skin feeling soft, clean and hydrated.

~Andrelle’s Rose + Lavender Facial Toner (30mL) ($10):  Toner is another favorite subscription box item of mine!  It doesn’t arrive often, but I am thrilled when it does.  The floral smell was a little strong (I am not a big floral person), but I love how refreshed it made my skin feel!

~Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Body Butter (50mL) ($1.25): It’s only January, and my skin is already taking quite a beating so getting a body butter is fantastic.  It smelled good and softened my hands quickly.  I’ll be keeping this one in my purse the rest of the winter.

~Divine Milk Chocolate with Toffee & Sea Salt Chocolate Bar ($3.99): Milk chocolate with a dash of sea salt, perfectly balancing the sweet crunch of toffee. It’s just as delicious as it sounds and, in addition to being Fair Trade, is free of artificial flavorings, colorings, and preservatives.

All totaled the Winter 2017 Yuzen box had a value of $101.57.  Fantastic value and, as usual, a well-curated box!
