As usual, this box was packed full!

The November 2017 Freedom Japanese Market included the following items:

~Curry Arare: These are Japanese curry flavored mini rice crackers.  They look like a cross between vegetables and pasta noodles to me.  They are puffy but much tastier than I expected.

~Shittori Ichigo: These are sweet and crunchy chocolate strawberry cookies.  They are light and so tasty that I basically wanted to eat the entire bag.

~Bubblish Ramune Candy: I passed these on to my boys (they are 5 and 9). They are candies that fizz like soda in your mouth.

~Christmas Umaibo: This Christmas Umaibo is corn potage flavored.  It just tasted like crispy puffed corn to me!

~Merry Christmas Umaibo: The Merry Christmas Umaibo had a chocolate coating with a “surprise” flavor.  I have no idea what it was, but I liked it.

~Sanrio / Super Mario Bros Gum:  Fun packaging and my boys loved this!

~Wata-Gashi: This is the most interesting cotton candy ever.  Maybe just because it’s not fluffed yet?  Again though, boys thought it was yummy and didn’t even comment on the dense texture.

~Mugi Chocolate: These have a chocolate coating and a sweet rice puff center.  Super tasty!

~Mike Popcorn: Freedom Japanese always sends the most interesting popcorn flavors.  This one tastes like Caprese Salad.  For real.  I need this to be a thing in the States.

~Puchi Potato Chips: Puchi potato chips??  They taste like peas and spicy mayo, which I thought I’d hate, but I actually love.  I’d buy these if they were in the States too.

~Fluffy Softmallow: This is just what you think.  It’s a soft fluffy rainbow colored marshmallow stick.  My youngest loved it!

~Puchi Chocolate: These reminded me of sixlets in a tic-tac package.  PERFECT!

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but I loved the variety!  What do you think of Freedom Japanese Market?  If you are interested in subscribing, you can check them out here.
