ipsy Review - February 2018
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

ipsy bags have a ton of variation, so they don’t include product details on their information card. If you happen to stumble on this review, don’t be surprised if you end up with an entirely different bag. Specific details on the items in your bag can be found in your ipsy account online.

The February 2018 ipsy theme is “unzipped, ” and my Glam Bag included the following items:

~SERAPHINE BOTANICALS Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose Gold Blush (3g) ($14): Such a pretty shade!  It’s described as a peachy, rose gold and works on all skin types.  It doesn’t look like much in my swatch, but trust me, this is stunning.

~SAND & SKY Brilliant Skin Pink Clay Mask (0.5oz) ($12.50): This is made with pink Australian clay and is designed to draw out toxins from your skin, absorb dirt and oils, and fight damage caused by pollution.  It stings a little when you apply it, but it left my skin softer and somewhat brighter.

~MARSK Loose Eyeshadow in Foiled Again (1.2g) ($22.50): I am not sure I personally can pull off this bold silver shade, but the pigment is incredible.  It’s always a little messy to apply loose shadows dry, but you can wet your brush for a bolder look and less fallout.

~BLAQ Meteor Shower (50g) (~$5): I was very excited about this until I heard that a lot of subscribers were having trouble washing it off.  ipsy sent out an e-mail about it with some tips on how to remove it if you can’t get it to rinse off, but I am just going to pass on this.  I don’t want to risk it and then end up spending half my day scrubbing this off.

~LUXIE BEAUTY Blending and Shading Eye Brush 249 (~$12): This brush is tapered on one end (for packing down your powder shadows) and fluffy on the flip side (for blending).  Very handy to have a dual-ended brush for traveling!

~The Bag: This month’s bag is more of a blush color than my image shows.  It’s so pretty and could even double as a date night clutch.

All totaled my February 2017 ipsy had a value of $66.  That’s pretty fantastic for a $10 subscription, and even with the BLAQ Meteor Shower issue, I am still satisfied!
