Yuzen Review - Spring 2018
Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back.  I like the quarterly format of this box better than monthly.

I say it every time I do a Yuzen review, but I am always impressed by the packaging on their boxes.  Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.

The Spring 2018 Yuzen box included the following items:

~Aromatherapy Associates DeStress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil (3mL) ($3.98): This can be used in the bathtub or shower to help de-stress your body after a long day.  It contains Black Pepper which helps to ease muscle aches and pains, Ginger which warms muscles and joints and Rosemary which stimulates digestion and improves circulation.

~Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel (40mL) ($10.80): The Revive Gel is designed to stimulate circulation and even out skin texture.  They even suggest applying it over over tights or stockings while at work for an instant boost of energy.  I’d probably test it at home first to make sure if doesn’t wreck your stockings, but I love the idea!

~Capricious Skin Care Retinol Serum 2.5% (1.2oz) ($49.99): Retinol is the most studied and proven ingredient to prevent and reverse the signs of aging – EVER.  After applying this, wait 3 minutes or so before applying your moisturizer to let it sink in.  When used consistently, this will improve uneven pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture, and color.

~derma e Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Glycolic Scrub (1oz) ($3.44): derma e pops up on a somewhat frequent basis in Yuzen, and I always love getting it.  This scrub deep cleans to remove impurities and reveal a radiant, smooth complexion and a refreshed, healthy glow.  It didn’t dry out my skin, and I didn’t find it at all irritating either.

~HUGO Naturals All Over Lotion – Vanilla & Sweet Orange (8oz) ($8.99): This lotion is vegan and made with all-natural ingredients.  It’s free from parabens, phenoxyethanol, sulfates, PEGs and propylene glycol and is also gluten and soy-free.  It smells incredible and, best of all, is super hydrating.

~ilike Lemon Cleansing Milk (No Size Listed) (~$10): ilike Lemon Cleansing Milk is a refreshing facial cleanser for all skin types.  I loved the smell, but I haven’t been using it long enough to see any changes in my skin.

~Good Day Chocolate Calm Supplement (~$3): These look like candy, but are designed to prevent stress, anxiety, and nervousness.  They taste great, and I did feel a little more chill after trying these!

All totaled the Spring 2018 Yuzen had a value of nearly $90. That is well over the cost of the box, but I do want to mention that 1/2 of the value can be attributed to the Retinol Serum.  I’m fine with that because I think Retinol Serum is incredible!
