Stitch Fix Review - May 2018
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Stitch Fix is now offering exchanges for sizing as well. Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on, and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

Stitch Fix
Cost: $20 Styling Fee + Cost of Items Kept ($20 fee will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment.)
Ships To: United States.

My Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx and took just a few days to arrive this month.

If you can’t wait to see what’s in your FIX, you can go into your account after your box ships to check what you are getting that month. I always do!

I usually post pictures of myself in the pieces, but (spoiler alert) I just wasn’t feeling any of this stuff this month and decided to skip it.

I don’t do the best job of filling out my checkout form and reviewing the pieces I get, but I do have my Stitch Fix blog reviews linked in my profile which I think helps a lot. I am going to work on my Pinterest Board so my fixes will be even more customized.

My May 2018 Stitch Fix (Fix #57) included the following items:

~Urban Expressions Monika Satchel ($68):  I don’t necessarily hate this, but I don’t $68 love it either.  I did love all the pockets and compartments and it seemed well-made, but I wasn’t sold on the dusty pink.  A shade lighter (or darker?) and I may have considered keeping it. Verdict: Returned.

~41Hawthorn Karie Split Neck Blouse ($58): I actually like this top (LOVE the color), but I have a similar one (in blue) and don’t need two.  I also don’t need a ton of blouses (I don’t work outside the home) and I certainly don’t need 3/4 length sleeves for summer.  Verdict: Returned.

~Kaileigh Nova Knit Dress ($48):  This dress is so NOT ME.  The pattern is too much, I don’t like the color blocking at the top/bottom and the colors were too bold.  The fit was a little off too.  It didn’t hang right. On someone else, I may have commented how cute it was, but on me, it was just a miss overall.  Verdict: Returned.

~LUQ Amadine Raglan Sleeve Knit Top ($34): This is also just not me. In theory, I like the pattern, but maybe for a pillow or a summer dress.  Not a t-shirt.  The athletic stripes and grey color blocking were also just not me.  On the bright side, I did think this was well-made and the price point was fair.  Verdict: Returned.

~Lila Ryan Liza Skinny Jean ($98): I appreciate my Stylists attempt to find me the perfect pair of white jeans, but these just aren’t it.  I have finally realized that I need distressing to break up all the white.  I also thought the price point on these was a little high (for me anyway). Verdict: Returned.

This month’s Stitch Fix was a complete miss, but all is not lost because I have the $49 Annual Style Pass, so my Fixes are “free”.  With the Style Pass you pay an annual fee of $49 and then you can schedule as many fixes as you want – as frequently as you want, without having to pay the standard $20 per Fix fee.  The $49 fee is applied to the first piece(s) you keep – be it in the 1st or 10th Fix covered under your Style Pass.

Do you get Stitch Fix?  What have been your favorite items you’ve received so far?  If you haven’t checked out Stitch Fix but want to give it a try, click here.  And don’t forget, the better feedback and more information you give, the better chance you will have to get amazing Fixes that work for you!
