The April 2018 Play! by Sephora theme is “Insta Beauty” and included the following items:

~Philosophy Purity Made Simple Exfoliating Clay Mask (5mL) ($3): My skin hasn’t been breaking out a ton lately, but it does still happen on occasion.  This mask purifies pores and helps extract blackheads from your skin.  You only need to leave it on for 5-10 minutes, but I saw a change in that short amount of time.

~Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial (15mL) ($24): Can every box have Drunk Elephant in it?  Or at least can more boxes feature this brand?  The Babyfacial is a mask that works as a facial to reveal greater clarity, improved skin texture and tone, and a more youthful-looking radiance.  It’s a new holy grail.  No joke, this stuff is amazing.  I was blown away.  My pores looked smaller, my skin was brighter and dare I say it even looked smoother.

~Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo & Conditioner (~$1): I have tried this numerous times over the years and don’t dislike it, but I also don’t love it.  These packets are nice for an overnight trip, but I have never noticed any changes in my hair from this brand.

~Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die For No-Filter Mattifying Primer & Perfector (7.5mL) ($7): I like this primer/perfector, but it’s not my favorite.  It did make my skin look smoother and kept oil at bay, but it also didn’t look like I had a filter on my skin.

~Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss (SPL) (03 oz.) ($2.60): I love a glossy lip, so this was perfect for me.  Tons of gloss and shine, the tiniest hint of color and no stickiness.

~Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick (.035 oz.) ($3.13): A little too bold for me, but my sister-in-law will enjoy it.  I prefer glosses as opposed to lipsticks, but I hear this is super long-lasting and doesn’t bleed at all.

All totaled the April 2018 Play! by Sephora had a value of $40.73.  I liked the box, but I didn’t think it was very well-rounded.  It had two lip products and two masks, which seems, unlike Play?  Still, I’m happy and feel like it was $10 well spent.

What did you think of the April 2018 Play! by Sephora? One thing to keep in mind is that Play! sends out a variety of boxes each month, so you may end up receiving a different box than your best friend who is also a subscriber. If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.
