The August 2018 BOXYCHARM theme is “Caribbean Queen” and included the following items:

~Laura Lee Los Angeles Party Animal Palette ($19): These colors would be great for a party or night out (maybe even an 80’s Halloween costume), but ultimately they are just too much for me.  I rarely wear eye shadow as it is, and when I do it would be a neutral and nothing bold like this.

~Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick (Action) ($21): Action is a “vivid orchid cream”. Again that’s just a little too much for me.  It’ll probably look great on someone, but that someone is just not me. Note: Smashbox lippes varied by box.

~House of Lashes False Lashes ($12): Once again, not for me. I have lash extensions, so I have no need for false lashes.  I would have preferred the variation that included the BECCA primer, but received this instead.  You win some, you lose some! Note: Subscribers either received one of four styles of lashes, tarte Lifted Sweatproof Mascara, or BECCA Cosmetics Primer (Natural, Matte or Radiant Finish).

~Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Beauty Gold Eye Masks (3 Masks) (~$12.50): These I love!  They aim to brighten, hydrate and reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes.  They also helped out with puffiness.  Score!

~Bang Beauty Chocolate Gel Eyeliner (0.12 oz.) ($22): Another miss.  I don’t currently wear eyeliner and am not sure I have ever worn (or will wear) gel eyeliner.  The color is gorgeous though.

~Adesse Sweet Almond Cuticle Oil ($18): The last and final item was a delicious smelling cuticle oil.  LOVE!  My hands are dry and my cuticles are somehow even worse.  Not for long though. Note: Some subscribers received NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil.

The August 2018 BOXYCHARM had a value of $104.50.  That is an outstanding value, but this box was a miss for me personally.  However, the cuticle oil and eye treatments were worth more than the cost of the box, so it’s not a total loss.
