Play! by Sephora Review - December 2018

Play! by Sephora has switched to recycled bags (they previous sent cloth bags) and I love them. I usually ended up tossing the drawstring cloth ones, but I will save these resealable ones.

Play! by Sephora Review - December 2018

The December 2018 Play! by Sephora theme is “Cheers to Beauty” and included the following items:

~Too Faced Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer (5mL) ($4): Primed & Peachy is a cooling, mattifying primer that blurs, smooths, and brightens the complexion.  The idea is to wear it under makeup for a smoother look, but I like it alone just as much!

~Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara in Black (3mL) ($7.20): I have lash extensions, but I passed this to someone else to enjoy.  I have used it in the past though and it is a great mascara – no clumping and gives great volume.

~Mooccanoil Moroccainoil Treatment (10mL) ($6): Moroccainoil was sent in the first ever FabFitFun box (so many years ago)!  That is the first time I was introduced to it and I have loved it since.  It is great for smoothing flyaways and even better for adding shine.

~Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lip Liner in Nothin But Nude (0.25g) ($6): Love the color, but I don’t use a ton of lip liner.  I may have to start mixing things up with this though.

~Fresh Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm (2g) ($6): This is both hydrating and delicious smelling.  It is not something I would purchase on my own (the full size is $18), but I was thrilled to get it in my Play! box and will happily use it up.

~Bonus Item (Mystery): Stellar Cosmic Face Powder (Haze) (1.7g) ($6.38): Meh. This was my “mystery item” and I am not overly excited by it.  I have been getting a lot of similar products lately and it’s just not something I use.

The December 2018 Play! by Sephora had a value of about $36.  All in all, this month was a win.  It had some hits and some misses, but overall I am happy and think it was worth the $10 price tag.

What did you think of the December 2018 Play! by Sephora? One thing to keep in mind is that Play! sends out a variety of boxes each month, so you may end up receiving a different box than your best friend who is also a subscriber. If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.
