The March 2019 GlobeIn Artisan “TASTING BOX” themed box included the following items:

1.Tasting Glasses – Turquoise Rim (Set of 4), Mexico ($45 value): Are these not the most gorgeous glasses GlobeIn has ever sent out? I cannot get enough.  They are the perfect size for tasting beers, wines and other spirits OR would be ideal as juice glasses.  They will be gorgeous no matter what you put in them.

Measurements:  Glass (single): 3.5″ x 2″

Materials: Recycled handblown glass

Care Instructions: Hand-wash only.

2. Hand-carved Flight Stand, India: This flight paddle was handmade in India out of eucalyptus wood.  It is the perfect accessory for your tasting classes.  And, in a twist I did not realize until I read the information booklet, it is shaped like a wine bottle (not sure how I missed this)!

Measurements:  16″ x 3″

Materials: Eucalyptus wood.

Care Instructions: Hand-wash only.

3. Tasting Journal, India ($12 value):  I need to start using this!  We love to try different wines and can never remember what we thought of them weeks after we tried them.  This is made of 100% recycled cotton paper broken down using a traditional wheel press and soaked overnight.  The pulp is strained, pressed into pages and hung to dry. It was then iron pressed into crisp paper pages and stitched into the journal.

Measurements:  3.5″ x 5.5″

Materials: Recycled cotton tree-free paper on binding.

Care Instructions: Wipe clean.

4. Bottle Opener Necklace, India ($26 value): Is it a necklace?  Is it a bottle opener?  It is both!  The metal engravings on this necklace were produced with environmental consciousness in mind, using only upcycled and salvaged materials.

Measurements:  2″ D pendant, 18″ drop including pendant at its longest setting. Adjustable length.

Materials: Stainless steel pendant. Vegan.

Care Instructions: Wipe clean.

5. Handwoven Bottle Coaster,  Rwanda ($18 value): The final item in the box is a handwoven bottle coaster. It was made using sisal fibers and sweet grass and will fit a wine bottle, a 40-ounce beer or a champagne bottle.

Measurements:  4.25″ x 2″

Materials: Sisal and sweet grass.

Care Instructions: Wipe clean.
