Birchbox Review + Coupon Code - May 2019
Birchbox is a monthly subscription of beauty samples tailored to your skin, hair, and style.  They recently increased the price of their box from $10/month to $15/month (current subscribers were grandfathered in at $13/month or $10/month for annual subscribers) and promise improvements to personalization, new products to choose from, more customization options for subscribers and faster shipping, among other things.  April 2019 was the first month of the changes and I was anxious to get my box and see the changes for myself.

This review is on the May 2019 curated Birchbox. I usually make a sample choice selection, but the curated box was too great to pass up this month. My May 2019 Birchbox included the following items:

~Smith & Cult Nailed Lacquer – Doe My Dear : ($18) : Doe My Dear is a gray-taupe shaded polish.  It is 8-free, meaning it doesn’t contain any dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, or triphenyl phosphate.  It is a gorgeous neutral shade and the bottle design is everything.

~Grande Cosmetics GrandeLIPS HydraPlump Plumping Liquid Lipstick: (Vintage Rose) (.08 oz) ($15.38): So I love the plumping action, but the matte look was a miss for me.  I felt like it was drying and the shade was not right for me.  I did love the plump i provided though!

~Benefit Cosmetics High Beam Liquid Face Highlighter (4mL) ($10.60): A classic!  High Beam subtly highlights and enhances your features, while being ultra easy to apply.  It blends smoothly and gives you the perfect amount of glow without being over the top.

~beautyblender® beauty.blusher cheeky ($16): This is smaller than the mini beautyblender, but bigger than the mini.  The packaging bills it as a tool to apply cream and powder blush to your cheeks, but really it can be used just like any other beautyblender.  I personally love the size for the undereye area.

~Real Chemistry Environmental Rescue Daily Serum (5mL) ($4.40): I found this to be ultra-hydrating and my skin needed just that.  It is a little thick, but soaked in quickly.  I cannot place the smell, but the description is right, it is a clean, refreshing scent.

~Moroccanoil® Treatment Light (10ml) ($6): Another classic!  I use this to smoothe fly-aways and give my hair a little shine boost. A little goes a long way, so be careful not to use too much at first.

My May 2019 Birchbox had a value of $70.  WHAT?  I think that is the highest valued Birchbox I have ever received. I was hesitant (annoyed may be the better word) at first to pay more for Birchbox, but if the value is going to increase like this, I am fine with it!  I am loving all the selection options and the curated boxes have been looking AMAZING.

Did you get Birchbox this month?  What you’d get in your box and what’d you think?
