The April 2019 GlobeIn Artisan “SLURP BOX” themed box included the following items:

1. Sana Noodle Bowl, Tunisia ($40 value): We have been really into trying out new ramen places in the city the past few months, but we have yet to try and make it at home.  Now that we have this though, there is no reason not to.   It was hand-painted by the artists at Le Souk in Nabeul, the center of Tunisian pottery, located on the Mediterranean coast of northeastern Tunisia.  The pattern is gorgeous, but my favorite part is the slot / holder for your chopsticks!

Measurements: 8″ Diameter x 4″

Materials: Stoneware ceramic.

Care Instructions: Dishwasher safe.

2. Sana Sauce Dish, Tunisia ($12 value): This is the perfect match for the bowl above.  If you aren’t into ramen or don’t enjoy sauces for your ramen, this is the perfect size for olive oil / bread dipping!

Measurements: 4″ x 4″

Materials: Stoneware ceramic.

Care Instructions: Dishwasher safe.

3. Hand-carved Elephant Chopsticks, Kenya ($15 value): These chopsticks are made out of natural olive wood, a durable and sustainable tree in East Africa.  I’d love to improve my chopsticks skills are these will be a great (and beautiful) way to practice at home.

Measurements: 9.5″ long

Materials: Jacaranda wood.

Care Instructions: Dishwasher safe.

4. Amapola Handwoven Blue Basket, Mexico ($15 value): These baskets are a regular feature in Globen.  They are hand-woven in Mexico and come in an assortment of sizes, shapes and colors.

Measurements: 6″ diameter x 5″

5. Fair Trade Forbidden Rice® Ramen, China ($3.50 value): These are traditional Japanese-style noodles made from heirloom black rice instead of wheat!

Measurements: 1 single-serving packet.

Details: The Forbidden Rice® Ramen has a delicious nutty taste, Cooks in only 4 minutes, 33% less sodium than regular ramen soup, Gluten Free, Whole grain, Made with Organic, Non-GMO Rice, Low Fat, Vegan.
