Birchbox is a monthly subscription of beauty samples tailored to your skin, hair, and style. They recently increased the price of their box from $10/month to $15/month (current subscribers were grandfathered in at $13/month or $10/month for annual subscribers) and promise improvements to personalization, new products to choose from, more customization options for subscribers and faster shipping, among other things. April 2019 was the first month of the changes and I was anxious to get my box and see the changes for myself.

This review is on the September 2019 Birchbox. I opted for the to make a sample choice this month and did not opt for a curated box.
My September 2019 Birchbox included the following items:
~Living proof.® Full Dry Volume Blast™ (95mL) ($11.58): Love this!! My hair is flat and this gives me great volume without making it feel crunchy or look overdone. Highly recommend!
~M·A·C Cosmetics Lipglass (Lovechild) (0.08oz) ($14): I love that MAC is now popping up in subscription boxes. I have always been a fan of their Lipglass and was thrilled to see it in here. Lovechild is a “coppered plum” – so perfect for fall.
~Eyeko Lash Alert! Mascara (0.06 fl.oz) ($5.38): As you well know (because I mention it basically every review), I have lash extensions, so mascara is generally a wash for me. I do want to mention that, while my information card is correct, online is says I am receiving the DOUCCE Punk Volumizer Mascara.
~R+Co RODEO STAR Thickening Style Foam (30ml) ($6.40):
~Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil (5mL) ($13.33): Sunday Riley was my sample choice selection this month and I could not be happier. It is a generous size – enough for multiple uses. I am not in love with the smell, but it left my skin basically glowing, so the trade-off is a no-brainer.
~My Clarins RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel (5mL) ($0.80): The Clarins lightweight gel face cleanser removes makeup, impurities, and excess oil that clog pores and cause breakouts. I can’t say it was anything special, but it did the trick for me.
~CAD Bonus Goodies: September is Customer Appreciation Month, so they also included a Birchbox “All The Things” cosmetic pouch and a sticker sheet. These are just bonus goodies that all subscribers received in addition to your other samples.
All totaled I came up with a value of $51.49 for my September 2019 Birchbox. This was such a great month for me! The stars for me this month were the Sunday Riley, the Living Proof and the MAC!
