Play! by Sephora Review - July 2019
Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box program. Each month subscribers will receive a box of deluxe samples, along with an exclusive PLAY! BOOK — packed with helpful advice — and a PLAY! The six product samples in your PLAY! by SEPHORA box are from the same prestige brands Sephora carries in store and online, and they are sized to use multiple times.

Play! by Sephora ships via USPS.  All Play! by Sephora, boxes should arrive between the third and fourth week of each month.

Play! by Sephora has switched to recycled bags (they previous sent cloth bags) and I love them. I usually ended up tossing the drawstring cloth ones, but I will save these resealable ones.

The July 2019 Play! by Sephora theme is “Desert Island Essentials” and included the following items:

~BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop (.04oz) ($5.43):I did not realize this shattered during shipping and ended up making quite a mess when I opened this up.  OOPS!  I do love the shade and the shimmer, but I have enough highlighters that I do not need to worry about repotting this one.

~Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover (15mL) ($4.50):  Other than the occasional eyeshadow I do not wear much (any) eye makeup.  I have lash extensions and never do eyeliner, so I think it is best that I pass this along to a friend.

~Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops in Medium (4mL) ($3.87): Tanning drops are something I have been wanting to try and was thrilled to see them in here.  You just add it to your moisturizer to get a natural, sunkissed glow. It did not give me an overwhelming color, but rather a healthy glow.  Self tanners have come a long way in the last few years!!

~Kiehls Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask (14mL) ($7.56): Love Kiehls and I love getting it in subscription boxes even more. This mask is worn overnight and promises to visibly firm and smooth skin.  My skin felt hydrated and softer and I woke up and just looked SO MUCH better!  It looked like I got a lot more sleep than I really did.

~Korres Greek Yogurt Foaming Cream Cleanser (20mL) ($3.73): This is a foaming cream cleansing that is designed for all skin-types.  It did not leave any residue and left my skin feeling very clean and fresh.

~Bonus: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (1.5mL) ($2.40): Light Blue is a fruity citrus blend with notes of citrus, apple and bamboo.  I love it!  Light and fun and so gorgeous.

All totaled my July 2019 Play! by Sephora had a value of about $27.  Not the best value, but it had a lot of fun goodies to try.  I am still excited about those tanning drops!

What did you think of the July 2019 Play! by Sephora? One thing to keep in mind is that Play! sends out a variety of boxes each month, so you may end up receiving a different box than your best friend who is also a subscriber. If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.
