ipsy Review - September 2019
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

This month’s ipsy information card listed all of the products included in my bag. I love that ipsy is now doing this! My September 2019 ipsy Glam Bag included the following items:

~SKIN&CO. ROMA Truffle Therapy Shimmering Oil (5mL) ($10.83): This is a dry oil that leaves your skin not only soft and smooth, but glowing.  It also smell incredible.  If you are concerned about it too shimmery, mix it with your everyday lotion!

~HANHOO Watermelon Illuminator – Overnight Serum (0.5 fl.oz) ($7.10): This serum works overnight so you can wakeup with a bright, dewy complexion.  I did feel like it left my skin a bit brighter and it did not irritate my skin at all, so that is alway a win.

~SMASHBOX COSMETICS Studio Skin 24 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation in 2.16 Golden (Medium) (0.24 fl.oz) ($8.64): I do not recall completing a foundation preference for ipsy, but oddly this is exactly my shade?  I do not typically wear a foundation, so I have been mixing a drop or two of this with my normal moisturizer for a more BB-cream type coverage.  Seems to be working perfectly!

~OFRA Cosmetics x Madison Ollie Need is Love Blush ($29): This looks very bold in the pan, but as long as you apply with a light stroke, I found it very wearable.  Of course, if you are going for a bolder look you can achieve that here as well.

~LOVECRAFT BEAUTY Bronzer in Sunniva (5.2g) (~$13): I received this in Sunniva, which is a Warm Tan Tone.  It is a little dark for my current skin-tone, but with a bit of a spray tan I think this would be beautiful.  It is easily blendable and buildable.

~The Bag: The celestially-inspired bag perfectly fits the theme this month (North Star) and gives it a rose twist!  Do we know anything about the ipsy bag design process?  I have never come across anything and would be curious to hear more about their design process!

All totaled I came up with a value of $68.57 for the September 2019 ipsy.  WOW!  This is my highest valued ipsy in ages!
