Birchbox is a monthly subscription of beauty samples tailored to your skin, hair, and style. They recently increased the price of their box from $10/month to $15/month (current subscribers were grandfathered in at $13/month or $10/month for annual subscribers) and promise improvements to personalization, new products to choose from, more customization options for subscribers and faster shipping, among other things. April 2019 was the first month of the changes and I was anxious to get my box and see the changes for myself.

This review is on the November 2019 Birchbox. I opted to make a sample choice this month and did not opt for a curated box.
My November 2019 Birchbox included the following items:
~Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume Eau de Parfum (~$1): Not A Perfume is a fragrance made out of a single element called Cetalox. It has a clean, spicy scent and is not at all overwhelming. It is also entirely allergen free, which is important to note as well.
~Number 4 Jour d’automne Texture Styling Crème (0.25oz) ($1.60): This is a texture styling creme. It gives results that are similar to that of a sea salt or texture spray, but you can apply this to wet hair. This is ideal for me as I prefer to just let my hair air-dry when I can.
~Daily Concepts Your Body Scrubber (~$5): This is ideal for exfoliating before a spray tan or to scrub that spray tan off when it starts to get all splotchy. It does not feel harsh against the skin, but it does feel like it is getting the job done.
~Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Lipstick ($12.50): Such a pretty shimmery rose shade. It is super moisturizing and had great staying power for me.
~Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum (0.17oz) ($14.45): This advanced-strength retinoid serum wards off signs of aging and improves the look of congested, damaged skin. It is designed to be used nightly, but you may have to build-up your tolerance to it. I am not sure there is enough in this sample to see any HUGE difference (instructions say it takes up to 6 weeks and there is not enough in here to use for 6 weeks), but I am happy to try it out as long as I can.
~Wander Beauty Mile High Club™ Volume and Length Mascara (full-size) ($26.50): Ahh, mascara. As you well know by now (I mention it every time I get a mascara), I have lash extensions so I do not use mascara. I have heard of people doing both, but for me, the lash extensions are meant to make life easier so I don’t use mascara. I will be passing this full-size on to a friend to enjoy!!!
All totaled I came up with a value of about $61 for my November 2019 Birchbox. That is an outstanding value and I am quite happy with my box this month!
