The November 2019 GlobeInWARMTH BOX” included the following items:

1. Assorted Animal Pillow – Surprise Me!, Kenya ($25 value): The animal pillows were a surprise item, so you while you didn’t know exactly which one you would get, you knew it would be cute.  I was thrilled that we got the sloth though.  My kids thought the sloth from Zootopia was the funniest thing ever (and he was).  It was handcrafted by Kenyan artisans employed by Imani Collective and has the signature of the artist who specifically made this little guy on the back.

Measurements: Assorted, approx. 11in x 7in

Materials: Natural Canvas

Care Instructions: Wipe clean with soap and water.

Country of Origin: Kenya.

2. Royal Mug – Lavender Bows & Arrows, Morocco ($22 value): This isn’t the first mug we have received from GlobeIn, but I think it is the prettiest. The lavender shade is beautiful and I love the small gold details.  It was crafted in the Marrakech area of Morocco by Abdeslam and his team of talented ceramic artisans.

Measurements: 4″ D x 4.5″ T

Materials: Ceramic, lead-free paint, and 12-carat gold

Care Instructions: Food safe. Dishwasher safe, but hand-washing is recommended. NOT microwave safe. Lead-free.

Country of Origin: Morocco.

3. Hand-Carved Oaxacan Wooden Milk FrotherAbdeslam, Mexico ($12 value): I have never owned a wooden brother, but I am pretty excited to give this a go.  To use, you place the handle between the palms of your hands and twirl back and forth until the froth has formed.  Seems simple enough.

Measurements: 8″, personal size

Materials: Wood

Care Instructions: Hand-wash only

Country of Origin: Mexico

4. Hot Cocoa Mix – Organic Spicy,  Paraguay ($8 value): And finally the box was topped off with Equal Exchange Hot Chocolate. This cocoa is crafted using organic cacao (cocoa beans) grown by the farmers of CONACADO co-operative in the Dominican Republic, organic sugar cane from small-scale farmers in Paraguay, and organic milk powder from Organic Valley dairy co-op in the U.S.  GlobeIn included the Spicy version of this and I plan to add a little kick of my own to it!
