Play! by Sephora has switched to recycled bags (they previous sent cloth bags) and I love them. I usually ended up tossing the drawstring cloth ones, but I will save these resealable ones.

The October 2019 Play! by Sephora theme is “Your Beauty Recipe” and included the following items:

~Tarte Quench Hydrating Primer – Rainforest of the Sea (3mL) ($3.20): This primer awakens and refresh your skin, delivering antioxidants, probiotics, and amino acids. It also helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  I feel like this is nice even without makeup on top.  It is a great base layer as well though.

~Shiseido WASO: Clear Mega-Hydrating Moisturizer (5mL) ($3.80): This clear gel moisturizer is ultra-hydrating and helps reduce the size of pores.  It felt incredible on my skin, but wasn’t so thick that it felt like a nighttime only item either.

~Origins Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion (30mL) ($5.25): This is a watery lotion (seriously that is how Sephora describes it), that reduces the look of redness in just one use.  I was skeptical, but it actually did reduce redness.  The consistency does take some getting used to though.

~Youth to the People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser (15mL) ($2.54): A juice cleanse for your face.  I love it.  It didn’t dry out my skin or make it feel tight. It just left it feeling clean and fresh.

~Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (15mL) ($7.50): I don’t often use a makeup setting spray, but I know a few of my friend who would love this!  It set your makeup and leaves it looking perfect for up to 16 hours!!

~Bonus: DPHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Masque (14.8mL) ($2.34): I could not be more excited that this is my bonus item.  I love the ACV rinse, so I was thrilled to try the mask. It is fantastic! I would for sure get this again!

All totaled my October 2019 Play! by Sephora had a value of about $25!  Not the best value ever that is for sure, but I did enjoy the variety in this box.

What did you think of the October 2019 Play! by Sephora? One thing to keep in mind is that Play! sends out a variety of boxes each month, so you may end up receiving a different box than your best friend who is also a subscriber. If you are interested in subscribing (and you probably should be because their boxes are great), you can check them out here.
