I had no idea what my variations were (there is no way to peek wth BOXYCHARM), so I was excited to dig in!
The December 2019 BOXYCHARM theme is “WHIMSY” and included the following items:
~Saturday Skin Waterfall Glacier Water Cream ($39): I hasn’t tried a “glacier water cream” before this, but it feels like a water gel cream in my opinion. I didn’t find it sticky (although I know some people did), just very moisturizing and hydrating. I also felt like it made my skin glow a little.
~Storybook Cosmetics Mini Palette in Robin Hood ($35): This is probably the cutest palette I have ever seen. It opens like a storybook and features 6 pigmented matte and metallic eyeshadows. I love the browns and the greens are growing on me. Honestly they could put any color in this adorable storybook and I’d like it ;). Shade details are as follows:
MAID MARIAN: Yellow Gold (Metallic)
QUIVER: Yellow Orange (Matte)
NOTTINGHAM: Cool Soft Brown (Matte)
FOREST: Cool Dark Brown (Matte)
MERRY MEN: Forest Green (Matte)
ROBIN HOOD: Hunter Green (Mettalic)
~Seraphine Botanicals Daikon + Dreams – Lip Exfoliator With Radish Extract ($24): So appropriate for a winter box! My lips needed this! I have been using it once or twice a week in the shower and my lips feel so smooth and soft.
~Ciate Marbled Light Illuminating Blusher (Dusk) ($26): Super beautiful packaging, but I wish it was slightly more shimmery. I do want to mention that the ingredients listed of the BOXYCHARM version of this are slightly different than the version sold on the Ciate website. The BOXYCHARM version has talc, while the Ciate version does not. Ciate referred to it as a labeling error in their Instagram post which you can read here.
~Brow Bar by Reema Brow Makeover Kit (Medium) ($30): I have been all about my brows lately and although I do have microblading, the actual hair on my brows could stand to be a little darker. The sculpting mascara gel was useful and did tame my brows nicely.
All totaled the December 2019 BOXYCHARM had a value of $154. As usual it’s value over the $25 cost of the box and I am super happy with it!
