Birchbox Review + Coupon Code - February 2020
Birchbox is a monthly subscription of beauty samples tailored to your skin, hair, and style.  They recently increased the price of their box from $10/month to $15/month (current subscribers were grandfathered in at $13/month or $10/month for annual subscribers) and promise improvements to personalization, new products to choose from, more customization options for subscribers and faster shipping, among other things.  April 2019 was the first month of the changes and I was anxious to get my box and see the changes for myself.

This review is on the February 2020 Valentines Night In Birchbox. I opted for a pre-selected curated box this month instead of a sample choice.

My February 2020 Birchbox included the following items:

~Acure Brightening Biocellulose Sheet Mask (1 mask) ($5.99):  I love the idea of this mask and all the benefits it promises to provide, but it is SO messy.  So much excess liquid.  I felt like it was dripping off my face and I was so focused on that (and keeping it on) that I didn’t get any of the relaxation / self-care benefits that are supposed to come along wth a face mask.  Sadly this one was a miss.

~Avène Hydrance RICH Hydrating Cream (15mL) ($12): Ahh, I love this.  I feel like I have received it before, but I don’t know that I loved it as much as I am right now.  It is so moisturizing, but also didn’t make my skin feel heavy or greasy.  A total win!

~NatureLab Tokyo Perfect Repair Treatment Masque (30mL) ($2.40): My hair is in pretty good shape right now, but it could always be better.  I think my favorite part about this one is that it only takes 3-5 minutes to use so no preplanning is involved.  Just put it on in the shower and rinse after you are done shaving or washing.  It made my hair softer and I loved the smell.

~Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye (3mL) ($7.40): Kiehls has long been a favorite brand of mine and I love receiving it in subscription boxes. This restorative eye cream minimizes lines, puffiness, and dark circles overnight so you wake up to brighter eyes.  I have not been sleeping well lately and this absolutely helps me look awake and less tired, even if I am not feeling super awake.

~Vasanti® Makeup Magnet Wipes (10 sheets) ($4): This takes off all of your makeup, but does not strip your skin.  I wouldn’t use them daily, but they are so handy for vacations or after a night out.

All totaled I came up with a value of about $32 for my February 2020 Birchbox.  Meh.  I didn’t love this box as much as I thought I would.  Not a total miss, but I am not sure if I would pick it again.

Did you get Birchbox this month?  What you’d get in your box and what’d you think?
