Birchbox is a monthly subscription of beauty samples tailored to your skin, hair, and style. They recently increased the price of their box from $10/month to $15/month (current subscribers were grandfathered in at $13/month or $10/month for annual subscribers) and promise improvements to personalization, new products to choose from, more customization options for subscribers and faster shipping, among other things. April 2019 was the first month of the changes and I was anxious to get my box and see the changes for myself.

This review is on the December 2020 Birchbox. I selected a sample item this month instead of a curated box, so most of the items in here were a surprise.
My December 2020 Birchbox included the following items:
~Air Repair Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer (7mL) ($2.73): This moisturizer instantly absorbs to repair dull, dehydrated skin. It is a thicker cream – perfect for Michigan winters!
~Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask (30mL) ($3.73): Flash is the perfect name for this mask as you only need to leave it on for 60 seconds. Now that is my kind of mask! It boosts shine, hydrates, and softens hair – basically everything I am looking for.
~Hola Neon Lipstick Balm (full-size) ($17): This looks more sheer on than I was expecting and I love it. It is much more balm like than lipstick like. I found it hydrating and easy to apply. Some of the reviews online also said it wears well under a mask (aka it doesn’t transfer).
~Beautaniq Beauty Velvet Rose Bud Soothing Handcream (30mL) ($9): Rich and hydrating! It has a rose scent, but is not too heavy at all. I found that it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my hands all greasy!
~Nails.INC Nail Polish – FOMO (full-size) ($11): Such a perfect red! I just feel better with my nails and toes done. If this doesn’t pick you up, what will???
All totaled my December 2020 Birchbox had a value of approximately $44. This was a great box for me! So many great goodies that I know I will use.
